Softcup - Kew Gardens,NY

Mamas & Papas -

I saw a new product in the fem goods aisle. "softcup." Have any of you tried these? Are they worthwhile?

By way of update, I ask the papas, because, hey they are here and reading. they have mothers, wives, girlfriends, co-workers, sisters, daughters, read the papers browse the net and might otherwise be informed.

A happy momma makes for a happy home. Papas are probably well aware if the ladies in their lives are unhappy even with a product that is targeted for and used by women.

Thanks,
F. B.

I used something several years ago, I think it was called the Moon Cup or something like that. It was before I had any babies but it worked really well and saved me a bundle on pads/tampons. You just have to be comfortable with kinda getting up there, in a messy time of the month. Luckily my work bathroom was a single user bathroom, so I could dump out the contents and rinse it off in the sink too. I should really pick one up after baby #2. It's ridiculous how expensive pads are. They've got us by the ovaries :P

well I have never used the "softcup" but I love my Diva Cup!! Going on nearly 5 years of use...cost me $40 all of 5 years ago and still working awesome!! Haven't purchased any other "period" product (minus the 6 weeks post partum) since that day!

I use the Diva Cup and it has been life changing. Seriously. After I had kids, tampons just didn't work for me - I could always feel them and they hurt! I read a bunch of reviews online for the Diva Cup (and there are many other brands out there, too) and decided to buy one. It took me a minute to figure it out, but once I did - no looking back. I've been using it for about 3 years now and would never willingly go back to tampons/pads. It's WAY more comfortable and the average woman really only needs to deal with it once every 12 hours or so. So you don't have to worry if you're going out for the day (what to do if you're in a public restroom, or at the beach, etc.). Good stuff.

I think it's funny that you address this to Papas, too. ;)

Anyway, I haven't tried the softcup, but I've used the Diva cup for many years. It's all I use, and I love it!

I have used these although I have not had sex with one in. They are super easy to put in, taking it out can be a bit messy. I usually use a diva cup (little more of a learning curve) and prefer it to these but I keep a couple of these in my glove box for just in case. I have not bought tampons in years. I would try these and if you like it you might consider a diva cup.

I've been using these for years and like them so much more than tampons. They used to be sold under the brand name Instead but changed to Softcups not long ago. Took a little getting used to but I think they're great.

I used to use Instead...but I haven't been able to find them in my stores for several weeks. I loved them though! I could wear them for a bit longer than I would have been able to wear a tampon. I could also have sex with them in. They were all around great!
