Hello Mamas! Any suggestions on how to get the sweaty smell out of my daughter's sandals? Her sandals have a light tan suede like shoe insole and brown leather straps that velcro around her ankle and the top of her toes. Appreciate your help!
You might try baking soda. Most of us have it on hand, and it freshens everything from drains to carpets to refrigerators to laundry, so why not try it!? It could be the cheapest fix! Sprinkle some in/on the shoes and let sit for a few hours (or overnight) then tap or vacuum it off and it should help. Good luck!
I have some similar sounding sandals, and I use Oxyclean mixed in hot water. I clean them a couple of times throughout the summer. Then rinse them good with water and let them airdry. It has always worked for me. Good luck.

I found with the kids shoes when they were little that a little baby powder sprinkled on worked wonders and it did not bother their little feet.

Good Morning M., I have some sandles (slip ons) with suede insoles also,with leather straps. I have used the suede cleaner and I have also put them in the dryer with the Dry cleaning bags. It helps!

spray insoles with oust and let dry. Hope that helps, I use it in my husbands smelly tennis shoes and the odor disappears.
Try putting a dryer sheet in them (or lay it on top of them) overnight. Works wonders inside shoes!
I would pour baking soda on them and let them sit in the sun for a day or two. I use baking soda for everything, and it really works. Good luck.
