We love going to the Heard Museum in Phoenix. It has a lot to see, two kids galleries with hands-on crafts and interesting displays that keep everyone busy. The food is great at the cafe and the shop offers wonderful things. My daughter never leaves without a new book or two. We also like the Arizona Museum for Youth. Someone else mentioned showup.com, which is awesome for finding things to do.

I just had the same problem as you but we did aright. You could go to the zoo or go to castels and coasters off the I-17 so you can go to scottsdale and go to caraker jacks and ride go-carts bummber-boats and, putt putt Golf. Well thats what we did theres also the go-cart track for adults that seem pretty fun calle speedway. Well good luck with that. and if you know anyone in the 27th Ave. & Baseline area who needs daycare, send them my way! and again GOOD LUCK!! :)

You could check "showup.com" for events for every taste. They have various tabs, including for Kids & Families, Unique Arizona Events and Free events.
The library would also have an event calendar.
There is also the Phoenix Zoo or the Desert Botanical Garden where they have very interesting tours explaining their plants on what makes them special, how they have adapted and how they fit into the big picture.
For shopping Kierland Commons, Fashion Square Mall or the Borgata.

Have fun while they are all here!
