Seeking Playground in Lower Bucks Area

Hello! I am on the search for the "perfect" playground for my 15 month old. Any ideas? I've been to Core Creek and Langhorne, but they both have minimal climbing for this age and the sliding boards are in the sun so they are HOT! Any ideas?

What can I do next?

My church just started setting up play dates for everyone with little ones and I'm also in a MOPS group that has summer play dates. Here are places we go:

Roberts Ridge Park in Newtown
Edgewood Park in Yardley (on Edgewood Road near the Library)
Tyler Park
Core Creek Park
Shady Brook Farms
Tullytown - don't remember the name of this place, but it's behind the fire station and police station in Tullytown. It's entirely shaded.

That's all I can think of right now.

I have actually just started documenting playgrounds in the area because I was sick of not knowing what was around and not being able to find the information I wanted or needed.

You can "follow along" on my blog at http://www.downinphilly.com/. I am adding activities and events in the area geared toward kids as they come up.

Our favorites for little kids are Buttonwood in Yardley (right off of main street, go into the parking lot for Vince's Pizza) and Von Hoffman Park in Fairless hills had a decent tot lot as well. Our very favorite has been Robert Ridges Park in Newtown. I started taking my son there when he was about your daughter's age, but it is probably a few months off for her to really enjoy it. Good luck!

We like the playground in Bensalem on Hulmeville Road, right next to the library. I've been taking my son there since he was 13 months.

The castle park in Dolystown is fabulous. It is off of 611 and Edison Farlong Road.

The only playgrounds that come to mind is Mason Mills Park in Montgomery County and Kids Castle in Doylestown

Roberts Ridge in Newtown is really nice. There are a few cute ones in Newtown (not sure of the names)but they are small fenced in play areas. We also played at Shady Brook farm yesterday and had a great time. They have a great little ice cream shop outside. www.livegreeneasy.com

Mason's Mill in Montgomery County (Huntingdon Valley) is pretty good - nice new equipment and safety town - a mini town the kids love to run around in. The best in the area has to be Castle Park in Central Park outside of Doylestown. It's a drive (just south of Doylestown), but the play castle is amazing. There are also some good play castles in Jenkintown at the school near the train station.
