Hi, I'm C... I've lived in Kokomo for the past 5 yrs. I moved here from Indy to be close to my husbands family.
It was a big change for me, but I got use to it quickly. Kokomo is pretty easy to get around. There are plenty of good daycares if you are going to look for work and the schools are good too. It's pretty quiet here for the most part. Here are a few sites you can check out if you like. CityofKokomo.org 123Rentahome.com ,Rentclocks.com/indiana/Kokomo , Rentals.com/indiana/kokomo or if you are looking to buy a home you can go to 46901.com . I hope you can soon call Kokomo your home. Best of luck to you!

Kokomo is a really great town with a lot of fun stuff to do and a lot of cool places. My family and I are moving back there really soon. I grew up in that town and miss it a lot. You really should move there if you want to because that town has a Chuck E. Cheese (for the younger children) and a lot of other great places. There are a lot of job oppurtunities there, and Kokomo High School has a great Career Area Center. So if you want to move there, then that is great!

L., I am in Kokomo and have 2 girls-Just turned 4 & 8. My oldest goes to Kokomo Christian, but many from our church go to Western & Northwestern. Plus we have tons of teachers at church that cover most of the schools. My husband works at Chrysler and I am a nurse. Pretty much covers anyone to know:) What do you need and I think I can give my answer/opinion on just about anything Kokomo. I moved here 10 years ago when we got married and my husband is a "lifer" from Kokomo. Welcome to the City of Firsts!

Hi L.! I don't live in Kokomo, but north of Kokomo at Eagles Pointe on Grissom Air Base. I do most of my shopping, doctoring, etc in Kokomo though. I like the shopping. Plenty of stores to choose from. Lots of restaurants too! I remember Kokomo being the #1 city to live in a few years back, considering the crime is so low, the cost of living is low, the school systems are good and the job opportunities were plentiful (that was a few yrs ago, not sure about 2007). I think you'll enjoy Kokomo. I'm not sure where you are coming from. But it is a smaller city w/ lots things to do!
