I have heard of farms that have a share or coop program where you pay a fee for the season and every Friday pick up your "share" of fresh fruits and veggies that are on the crops that week. Does anyone know of any near Wellesley, MA?

So What Happened?

Thank you to those of you who responded to me about the farm sharing for this summer. I got some great info. and wanted to share it with everyone.

CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Farms near Wellesley that have a farm share program: 1. Powissett Farm in Dover, MA. www.thetrustees.org 2. Land's Sake in Weston, MA www.landssake.org 3. The Food Project in Lincoln, MA www.thefoodproject.org

The www.thetrustees.org website also lists other farms.

Also, if you're interested in meat there's a meat CSA farm in Hardwick, MA that distributes out of Natick: www.chestnutfarms.org.

Some other fun farms to visit are: Look Out Farm in Natick, MA www.lookoutfarm.com and Wilson Farms in Lexington, MA www.wilsonfarm.com. Thanks again for everyones help!

The Food Project in Lincoln is the BEST.
TONS of produce, beautiful spot, and they employ inner city and suburban kids to work together on the land. This farm has a soul.

Call quick...they run out of shares fast!

Hi L.! I just joined a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm in Dover, MA, called Powissett Farm. There's also a website you can check out that lists various farms (you can see if there's one closer) and there's usually a symbol or indication that they're CSA. www.thetrustees.org.

Also, if you're interested and a meat-eater there's a meat CSA farm in Hardwick, MA that distributes out of Natick: www.chestnutfarms.org.
