Does anyone know of a good catholic church here in Sarasota near Beneva and Tamiami. We have family coming into town that will want to go on Sunday. So if you know of any please let me know. Also...I would like to find a nice Non Denominational here as well with a fun youth program. I went to the Vineyard in Co. Not sure if there's one here. Thanks so much!

My mother in law goes to St. Thomas Moore on Gulf Gate Drive. She really likes the priest, as do several of my friends.

St. Thomas More on Gulf Gate, easy to get to from Beneva or the Trail. The 8am service is a little quiet, but the 9:30 and 11:00 have full choir. The 11am is more contemporary, but they all have an awesome spirit. You kind of have to go to believe it!

Hi N.,
Fellowship of Believers is a good one and has a huge youth program there on 12th street off Beneva. Good Luck!!

My in-laws are members of Incarnation on Bee Ridge and have gone there about 20 years. They also attend occasional mass at St. Martha's (Fruitville and Orange) and St. Michael the Archangel on Siesta Key and like both of those places.
Sorry, I am not very familiar with non-denominational churches in the area.
Also, feel free to contact me privately regarding preschools in Sarasota. There a a TON here with fabulous reputations, although you will find LONG waiting lists and most of them. Thanks!

Hello N.,

I have been a sarasota resident all my life(40 years). I'm sure people have responded, but just in case. As far as Catholic, St. Martha's(Fruitville and Orange Avenue) has always been well known here. And for nondemoninational, I myself like the Tabernacle on DeSoto Road. They have great children programs, that is how I became interested in them years ago due to my children. I attended for many years. I am currently at Abundant Life, but still love the Tabernacle.
Abundant Life is non denominational also. Welcome to Sarasota!!!

By the way, the Tabernacle has a preschool as well. My children attended(but they are now 18 & 16), my experience was great however.

There is a good Church on Bee Ridge Rd near Tuttle called Incarnation. You may want to call for hours of Mass.
