Seeking Childcare in Romeoville/Plainfield

My baby is due in October, and I will have to go back to work full time in January. We have researched a lot of the day care facilities in the area and they are just too expensive. Can anyone recommend an affordable daycare (by affordable I mean less than $250 a week), or perhaps an affordable in-home childcare?

What can I do next?

Hello Katie.
I have three children of my own and am looking to take care of another child soon here. I am great with children, I do have refrences if you wish please call me for more details ###-###-####. Also, as far as rate I am very resonable. I completely understand I had three in daycare and it was very expensive that is why I am home now. My oldest will be attending school in the fall so I will have only two. Please let me know soon.

Hello Katie.
I belong to the Will County Childcare Association and we are about 60 members. When you come close to seeking for childcare just give Linda Baker a ____@____.com is too soon to find a in home childcare provider. Try to start searching mid November or begin of December. All our members are licensed by the state of Illinois. I would say the average rate for infant childcare is inbetween $130-$ 160/week. But if you would like to speak to someone on how to find a quality provider for your child you can call Linda or myself###-###-####). Good Luck with everything!

Hi, I live in Minooka right off of I80 and I have a daycare. I have a degree in child development and been a night nanny for many years. I have taken care of triplets, twins and premature infants.I taught preschool for 10 years and been a nanny for 12. My rates are very reasonble, less than $250. Please call me so we can discuss it more. ###-###-#### M.

Hi Katie,

My aupair costs me less than $250.00 per week and we have three kids. The fee's below are from the www.USAupair.com website, they are the lowest cost agency. If you think you will have more children your costs do not go up. I know most people think it is weird having someone live with them but ours has a bedroom in the basement and they go out a lot with other aupairs.

Application fee $ 300.00
Program fee* $5,000.00
Total $5,300.00

Discount for repeat families $(500.00)
Total $4,800.00

Education fees ($0 to $500)* $500.00

Weekly stipend to au pair (51 weeks)** $ 139.05
Avg. Weekly Expense (without discount) $ 253.00
Avg. Weekly Expense (with discount) $ 243.00

Best of luck to you,

S.
