Risque? What Is Your Opinion?

Hardly.

She would think I am a crazy woman, if she knew what I had and the phases of life I went through.
I was a Punk Rocker, had a mohawk, did ear piercings on myself, wore safety pins, have a tattoo, and wore toe rings and had colorful dyed hair.
I am a Mom, now.
Still with an edgy rebel take on life.

So what if it was reversed...
I have lots of tattoos, yet no toe rings. =)
I can understand people associating facial piercings with tattoos (even though one can have one but not the other) but toe rings....it's laughable.

Wow. I have a toe ring that I've been wearing for about 16 years. I had no idea people would think I was WILD because of it, too funny. No tats, and only 2 holes in each ear for earrings. I almost pierced my belly button on my 40th birthday but decided against it-- heard too many pain stories.

NO!! I think your co-worker may be very sheltered. I am surprised she didnt think the open toe shoes themselves werent risque. That maybe a judgement. I just would never have put the two next to each other. And I am tattooed alot and have been known to sport a toe ring in the summer.

This made me smile! Now come summer when i go to put on my toe ring..I will crack a little smile and feel a little RISQUE!

I personally don't like tattoos or toe rings on ME, I don't mind on other people, but calling it risqué I think is funny, I have another idea of "risqué" and no necessary have to do with tattoos and toe rings.
Perhaps your friend needs to go out more often, lol.

i associate toe rings with a person who pampers their feet......it has no direct correlation on tattoos (which arent "risque" either) She sounds like a total prude and probably conceived her children through a hole in the sheets.

Actually I'm just sitting here giggling of the assumptions people make.

I can honestly say that it never occurred to me that people who have toe rings also have tattoos!
I've also never made assumptions about people with tattoos. Especially after my mom got her "bluebird on her shoulder" when she was 60. Yes that is SIXTY. She'll be 70 this summer!

I'm 44 and have had a toe ring on (the SAME ONE) since I was 16!!! I can't even feel it either! And I get compliments on it. I do have a very small tattoo (about the size of my thumb nail) that I've had since I was 25. I never thought one went with the other...I've never thought about it at all in fact! I think people should do whatever they dang well want to without comments from others! :o)

No I don't things toe rings are risque nor would lead me to think someone has a tattoo. Then again I have a tattoo and don't think they are risque either :)

Too funny! I have toe rings but would never think of having a tatoo (I'm too fickle for one!)! Hmmm, fun! I like the idea of being risque though!

I know lots of people of ALL ages that have both toe rings and tattoos. Personally I don't care for tattoos. However my sister has worn different toe rings for a long time and gets her toes and fingers done on a regular basis and wears shoes that show her pretty toes and toe rings off. My sister is in her fifties, has children and grandchildren. She is not only an excellent wife, mother, grand mother, sister and friend, she is beautiful inside and out. She is NOT risque in any way, you're not either.

My sister gave me a gold toe ring for my birthday. I tried to wear it, but it hurt. That's me...as far as your co-worker's comments and labeling YOU as risque....she should not have said that. What you do is your business as long as you are doing no harm to others.
