anybody have a favorite restaurant in the area besides "TGIF and Applebees" sort of places? Any places with good food and music?
Looking in the Algonquin.. Crystal lake.. Schaumburg area...
My husband and I just went to a great restaurant in Gurnee called Steven's Steaks on Riverside. Excellent atmosphere and the food was wonderful. Great customer service too.

Vince's in Buffalo Grove is great Italian didning. Bacchus Nibbles in Lake Zurich is nice as well.

Have you tried Govnor's in Lake in the Hills or Porter's Oyster Bar/Steak House in Crystal Lake? Govnor's is a more casual atmosphere, but has a great bar area for some drinks and music. Porter's has great food and good music on most weekends. Great atmosphere.
