I am planning to start to do a raw food diet. I would like to know if there is a good recipe book that you can recommend. Or is there anything that you would suggest.

Thanks.

What can I do next?

We started primarily raw probably 4 months ago. We have deviated a little when at parents', etc. I have never felt better than when eating the raw foods. My first info came from www.kristensraw.com It has great info and recipes. I have probably 4 of her cookbooks (they're little and specific). I also really like Living on Live Food by Alissa Cohen. It is a big book...info and recipes. She even has a menu set up for you to get you started. I found that getting a great dehydrator made a huge difference in allowing for variety and not feeling like you're always eating salads. I would make sure you are really going to stick with this first, though, before making that investment. Enjoy! There really are endless recipes to make for variety and satisfaction. I actually found myself eating much less because the food I ate satisfied me (versus empty calories). Smoothies are easy to start and are very satisfying. My whole family eats primarily raw...including my 4,7,8 year olds. Feel free to send me a message if you would like more info/have questions.

My biggest suggestion is that you stay away from fish, meats and eggs. They aren't real safe. Scrub your veggies well and make sure you have washed your fruits well too if you are going to eat the skins.

Generally you are going to eat a lot of salads and veggies and fruits with dips perhaps? I have a couple of good dip recipes if you are interested.
