I want to know if anybody has any great ideas for Children's Programs for a PTA meeting at school. This is my first year to be in the PTA and I am in charge of children's programs during the PTA meetings. I have about a 250.00 budget and we have about 4 meetings throughout the year. My next one is November 20th. Kids range from k to 6
Any ideas????

What can I do next?

Is this to keep kids entertained while General PTA meeting business is going on? Low mess arts and crafts. Wire bending is fun. Coolect recylable trash in big bins and give them tape to make stuff. At our art fair it was the most popular table, just rash and tape. Cardboard boxes and shoe boxes turned into robots, etc.
Find out wear you will be keeping the kids, do you have access to TV and dvd's? You can get some science/art stuff to do demostrations for them at USA toys store. Has anyone ran this program for you? I am assuming your budget is for the whole year?
Volunteers, you will need a few, and a least one person willing to deal with the rowdy uninterested kids.

Yes, please clarify. I might be able to help. Do the children perform? If so, how many? How long does the program have to be?

Do you mean you have to teach the children to do some type of show, like singing, comedy or dance? Or are you looking for public speakers about things related to children, to teach to parents during a PTA meeting? I want to make sure I am reading the question right. Thanks, B. P.

You can contact a local Martial Arts studio -- they can usually do a program on stranger danger or exercise/fitness..... something like that. Kids love it!

I'm assuming a program to put on FOR the kids not BY the kids? If so, Nana Pudding is always lots of fun. My students loved it when I was a teacher, and my son just had it his school and he loved it too.
