Proper Care for Sandals?

I'm shopping for new sandals this year, but my old sandals look pretty decent. However, they have a leather sole that when I wear them for too long will smell like feet. Is there anything you can do to get rid of that smell or clean them properly some way? Or do I just need to toss them and buy a new pair every year?

Toss'em!! Buy new ones each season. They're cheap enough and who doesn't like a new pair of shoes. :)

They are quite a bit of money mine were 120 but I LOVE my chacos! When they get nasty I just throw them in the wash. When the dog ate the straps out of one I sent it into chaco usa and the re-strapped them.

I have had the same problem before and I sprayed alcohol in my shoes..Works.. Also, for the outside you can use any leather wipes found at an automotive store. Like what you use for a car interior.

Fabreeze seems to help mine. Also, I've put my sandals in the washing machine -- I thought before I thow them out I may as well make one last ditch effort. It really worked!! I washed them with some towels.
