Hello:

I am seeking for ideas about ways to have more play dates for my 4 yr old son. We are new to the area and haven't made new friends yet. He attends a pre-k program on a part time basis and has other activities once a week. Are there any playgroups for only children in the South Orange County area. Thanks!

Hi S.,
There should be a Mom's Club Chapter in your community - they are nationwide. I was referred myself by another mom to join in Fountain Valley and it has been great. They have a monthly calendar of activities that you can participate in and meet other moms/children. Here is the website - www.momsclub.org.

Good Luck!

S.,
we live in Laguna Niguel and also moved in a couple of months ago. I searched for community parks on the city's web page. We moved from RSM where you have a lot of parks and was not easy to find them here. There is one in Niguel Heights & La Paz, right after the school. Another huge in La Paz & Aliso Creek Rd. These are in Laguna Niguel, you can find more in your City's web page.

Good luck

I just found out about this website recently... it seems awesome!

www.meetup.com (type in your type of search and your area code and it gives you a ton of different local groups).

P.S. Here's one I just joined... http://playgroup.meetup.com/714/
