I am planning my 30th b-day and I need ideas. I don't really know where to begin. I don't want to go to any club...I definitely want something private..maybe about 50 people. I want something for the "grown and sexy". Any ideas?? Themes?? Also I am looking for a venu in Philadelphia since thats where most of my family and friends are.

What can I do next?

My friend celebrated her 40th at a really fun place in Chinatown -- Yakatori Boy -- which is a swanky karaoke bar. You can reserve a private karaoke room, and they have rooms of various sizes depending on how large your party is. There's a big flat panel TV, two mikes, and you run the karaoke selection yourselves, singing and having fun, while staff bring you Japanese appetizers, sushi, and drinks. We had an absolute blast. I plan to have a party there for myself someday!

I went to Disney World for my 30th. I figured if I had to turn 30, it had better be in the happiest darn place on the planet.

I don't know of any venues for you since I'm fairly new to the Philadelphia area, but I do have an idea for you! Like you, my husband is turning 30 this year, which means you were born in 1980! Why not have an 80's party?! 80's music, decorations, clothing, etc. Do some research and have fun! I've seen pictures from two friends who turned 30 and they are hysterical!! Happy Birthday

For my 30th on May 1st this year, my hubby, me and two kids age 5 and 7 went camping by lake Michigan in our rv. There are tons of sand dunes in a place called Silver Lake. We rented a dune buggy for two hours are had tons of fun!!!!!

I went to a 30th birthday celebration and it involved a stretch limo ride around DC seeing the sights ,then it dropped us off at the restaurant that had been booked. It was a lot of fun , not sure how many can fit , with 50 people you may need 2 limo's but it's worth looking into. Another option could be a day at a spa being pampered and then dinner and drinks in a nice restaurant?

Hope these helped
