I recommend Genoa Pizza off of New York St/Frontenac St. Close to the Fox Valley Post office in the strip that has Ultra tan in it or something. I think they may have changed the name. They also had some great Wednesday night specials on Pastas (half off) and large cheese pizza for $7.99. Check it out.

Hi! We too would love to find something like Monical's...my husband grew up with one in Indiana. We too order from Genoa's but the one in Oswego near our home. I really haven't found any place that I'm crazy about. The Aurora Beacon did a contest this past spring about favorite pizza in the Fox Valley area...maybe you can check their website for those winners.

I grew up with Monicals too! In Bloomington IL, if you're really desperate it's only about an hour and a half south down I55. The closest I've found to it in this area is Papa's in Bolingbrook or Woodridge. http://www.papaspizzaplace.com The Bolingbrook location is carryout/delivery but Woodridge has seating.

Hi G.--my husband is from that area also. He loves it. We live in Montgomery and order from Windy City pizza sometimes (off Rt. 30 on Douglas--by Jewel). We also like the super-thin Chicago Pizza Authority in Oswego off Orchard. We had it the other night and it was delicious!

Windy City pizza is hands down the best pizza in oswego/montgomery are. Give them a call ###-###-####. we order at least once a week. we ordered the thin crust for a year before we found out they have pan crust. puts all the other area places to shame.
