So What Happened?

Thanks for everyones advice. I ended up going to Portrait Innovations in Chesterfield and I loved it. My little one did not want her pic taken but I still ended up with 3 great poses and the prices were very reasonable.

I also live in the Wentzville area, and I have used two different places to get my daughters picture taken. Growing Family will come to your home to take pictures, which can be nice, but I like Sears Portrait Studio a lot also.

The last time we needed pictures.. we thought hey... we'll go cheep. We started at the Wal-mart. Sure we got a huge package for like 7.00 total... but you have to pick choose only one shot and one pose and you can't compare.

We thought... well lets up it a little and go to Picture People at the mall. What a disaster. After and hour long wait we were finally seen and then found out they don't have digital so we had to wait another hour before we could view the photos... which were HORRIBLE in every way.

Finally... and at the end of a very long day I might add... we went to Kiddie Candids at the Mills mall. THEY ARE AWESOME. For about 100 bucks we walked out with an awesome package and a cd of the pics. The lady there remembered my kids names and used them over and over... she was super nice... and the equipment is digital so you can see and manipulate the photos on the spot. OH, and no waiting.... ever. I'd go again in a heart beat.

hope it helps!

I had the same dilemma as you! I moved to Wentzville after meeting and marrying my husband (who is from St Charles) after living in Central Illinois all my life.
We have gone to JC Penney's at Dardenne Prairie and I was not pleased at all. The person we had was rude, discouteous and took terrible pictures. My youngest daughter is a red head and she insisted on over-lighting her and backgrounds that would wash her out despite my requests for others. It was a horrible experience and I will not go back.
We have also gone to Sears in Mid RIvers Mall. The pictures were OK but I feel that they are over-priced for what you get. For the same price...maybe just a few dollars more...you can go to a professional photographer and get truly personalized photos that are gorgeous. There is a guy next to the Dairy Queen in Wentzville...I think it is called After Four Photographics...that does excellent work and is not outlandishly expensive. We have a family friend who goes to our church that we really prefer. Her name is Michelle Ross but I forgot the name of her studio, since we see her in church every week. Her pictures are literally some of the most gorgeous things that I have ever seen!

Kiddie Kandids at the St. Louis Mills is the BEST! They listen to what you want, and take the pictures until you are satisfied. (digital, so you can see right after it's taken) I will not even go to Sears or Penneys because of the typical portrait studio totally posed poses and lack of creativity. Prices are awesome! You get 6 shots on a cd to take with you for $75! If you go, Brittney is our favorite. Sweet girl!

Good luck!

We go to Janelle at JCPenney in Dardenne Prairie. It is near where K and N intersect. She always get great pictures of my girls and they are reasonably priced. We live in St Peters, but she is well worth the drive!
