I am looking for a studio to take my family's picture. I m not looking for something expensive. My in-laws will be in the picture as well. I don't mind paying someone for the CD and then developing the pictures myself. I would prefer to have it done in a studio.

Thanks

What can I do next?

I agree. Portrait Innovations is the best. Great value, too.

Check craigslist for photographers in your area (or post an ad looking for one if there are non listed). I have had great experiences doing it! There are loads of photographers looking for experience and to develop their website/portfolio. I did it for maternity pics and newborn pics. It didn't cost me anything but I was given digital images of all the pics that I could print or use as I wanted. You will have to sign a model releasr (but studios require that also, just most people don't realize that's what they're signing).

Do you have a Portrait Innovations around you? They do a package with honestly more pictures than you could use for $9.99. Everyone I know uses them because they are so good and they are relatively inexpensive (the price goes up if you buy more than just the package). You can also buy the CD from them. The other one that I like (and you can find coupons for on their website) is Picture People. I prefer going to Picture People because they do a better job and are more creative, but if I need large quantities of pictures (i.e. my son's birthday ones), I go to Portrait Innovations. Hope this helps!

Sears is a good choice. They have high qaulity printing, take lots of poses and have tons of products available. They offer you portrait discs- you pay for them but can then do anything you want with them. Session fees are not expensive and if you are unhappy with the qaulity of photos that are being taken you see them as they are taken and can say something right away. Request for a experienced photographer or the studio manager and you should have no problems at all. They are 100% about customer satisfaction so use that to your advantage. Schedule your appointment for a not busy season (christmas and easter they are trying to get people in and out as soon as possible so they can move on) and early in the day so they are not already behind schedule. Prices are reasonable and background selections are great. I am very picky about portraits and photos and I love sears.
Hope this helps :)
