Pediatric Dentist - Lewisville, TX

Hi mommas! I just scheduled my two boys with a pediatric dentist, and have sticker shock from the price quoted for a first visit. $207 each! My older son had a bad experience the last time with a regular dentist, so I was thinking that a pediatric dentist is the way to go.

We don't have dental insurance. Is that price the norm for a pediatric dentist?

What can I do next?

I took my 1 year old daughter to Dr. Sandra Armstrong. I loved her!!!! It ran me for her first visit $150.00. It is a VERY kid friendly environment.

That may be, I don't know what it will be when he turns 3 and needs x-rays, but Dr Rozas charges about $100 for a visit. She looks at him, talks to me and then puts some protective sealant on his teeth. I don't know how much more it is for a cleaning and x-rays.

We're running a "back to school" promotion (for new patients only) that includes a full mouth series of x-rays, digital photos, a thorough cleaning and one hour exam with the doctor all for $84! We're all about making the child feel comfortable! If we feel that they're not having a good time with us, we would refer them to Dr. Clapp accross the street!

Hi T.. I know the feeling. I spent a good part of yesterday trying to find the most reasonable dentist since we do not have dental ins. either. I don't know where you live but I found an office in Carrollton and they are VERY reasonable and they do give a discount if you are paying cash, which I did not find anywhere else. For my daughters cleaning and 4 bite wing x-rays it's going to be 144.00. She told me the treat kids of all ages as well as adults and they seem very nice. If you would like the info I will gladly give it to you.

T.,
Where are you located? My son goes to Dr. Clapp in Highland Village. I don't remember paying that much, I know it was at least $100.

Since you don't have dental insurance you should look into getting a dental discount plan. We have Ameriplan and it's very reasonable and it goes into effect as soon as you sign up! We loved the pediatric dentist we recently found in Hurst. His name is Dr. Cremer. Here's the link to their website http://www.fundentist.com/about.htm.

Hope you find somebody your kids like!
God Bless!

There is one really good kids dentist in Carrollton I don't know how far away that is for you but Kidz and Teen Dental is a lot of fun and very geared toward children their website is http://kidzandteendental.com/. My 18 month old does really well there.

Children's Medical Center of Dallas has a pediatric dentistry practice; they are dentists that have graduated but are doing their training in pediatric dentistry. It's inexpensive and they are great. However they give preference to children with chronic illnesses that need dental care. Call ###-###-#### and ask for dentistry.
