Hi, I have a comment and a question for everyone out there. First of all, I have been desperately trying to shed a few pounds, and had heard a lot about Acai Berry and a colon cleansing product. So I decided to order both of these online. THIS WAS A BIG MISTAKE!!! The website stated you would get these products and only have to pay the shipping on them if you were dissatisfied (you could call to cancel anytime within that month). Well the products didnt work that well, plus they also sent me 6 bottles of the stuff, when I only ordered one of each. I have attempted to contact their customer service line for the last 3 days with absolutely no success!!! I have been on hold for over 2 hours and every once in a while a real person comes to the phone, only to get disconnected or put back on hold. It seriously has been rediculous!!! I would not recommend ordering this product online to anyone. I ended up contacting my credit card company to reverse the charges, but this will take a month to clear up. My question is: has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, what did you do?

What can I do next?

I'm sorry that I don't have any advice--I really hope someone does. But I wanted to thank you for sharing, because I have been tempted enough to give those ads a second look. I need constant reminders to be careful, especially when I get to wanting to lose the weight so badly.

There is a great website www.ripoffreports.com I use it all the time. You can look up companies before purchasing anything to see if there are any complaints and you can also file complaints against companies. I highly recommend it!!!!

I did the same exact thing that you did! Not only did the products do absolutely nothing for my appetite or weight, they kept sending it to me & charging my debit card! I finally got a hold of a representative at both companies, but in the meantime I called my bank and canceled my debit card and got a new one issued. It was ridiculous. I guess that's what I get for being desperate & overweight after Baby #1! (LOL) Good luck with your predicament -- canceling my card was about the only way I could stop them!!!

I did find something to curb my appetite, and I think it's called Letpovox (or something like that). It was featured on Oprah, Dr. Oz, etc. It's the pill that supposedly has all the "super foods" in it. I'm sure if you googled any/all of those words you could find it. It says that it's all natural, and it does contain the Acai Berry supplement.

I have heard similar stories form other people too. Sorry to hear this company is not forthcomming in their intentions.

I had a problem with a company once that deducted extra money out of my account when they were not supposed too. I ended up calling the Attourney General for the state I live in and they geave some helpful advice. And reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, can help. There are forms on their website if you want action to be taken and they can look into issues and possible help.
The attourney General also told me to tell the company that I would be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and they seemed kind of scared at that.
It took a couple of months but I got my money back and vowed never to be duped again.
Good luck and I hope you can get this compnay to get you a refund and stop sending you extra items you didn't purchase.....
For anyone out there interested in trying the Aci berry you can buy it at a GNC store and not have to worry about other unwanted bottles.

I ordered it also but haven't tried it yet. They sent me a bottle the following month also and charged my card. Actually it was my credit card protection company that called me about this questionable charge and another. My credit card ended up taking this off our bill. After that I did get an email from the Acai berry place stating my automatic shipments are cancelled. Hopefully it works out for you. The email I got from them confirming my cancellation was from ____@____.com maybe try emailing them.

My sister and I went through this exact same problem with this exact same company. This company is a scam. They sell you a bottle for dirt cheap but then in the fine print, it says that they will continue to mail you and charge you until you cancel. Then, when you try and call they don't answer the phone. However, they are technically following all legal rules because they do have a phone number. You have done the right thing by cancelling with your credit card. You also need to make sure that your card knows that this company is claiming that you have an ongoing "subscription" because in all likelihood, this company is going to keep charging you. If you have a reputable credit card, they should credit you back the money until the dispute is taken care of. Although it might take a month to resolve, it was my experience that the credit card company couldn't even get in touch with the merchant themselves and therefore, the company automatically waived their rights to the dispute. If you don't have such a reputable credit card company, you might consider cancelling the card completely so the company can't keep charging you.

I also ordered it, I canceled on time but they sent me two more months worth of it, charging my credit card each time. I never opened those other packages, I called too and was also put on hold forever. I was finally able to get a hold of a real person, they told me to send the unopened packages back (at my expense) and they would refund me. I sent them registered/certified mail, but never got my refunds. I couldn't take them after the first bottle I opened and used for less than a week. It made my heart race and made me feel anxious and jittery. It makes me furious that these company's take advantage of us. But that's a lesson learned, never again for me either.

Hi B.
B. here too.
I also had a problem with all of those companies but one.
I'm a wellness coach and we have weight mgmt products and detox-- yet I am not closed to the idea of others out there and like to know what my clients are using-- so I try the samples all the time.
This time-- not so good. Nutralane not bad-- they didn't, but another group has offshore banking-- so I also got dinged on my credit card with foreign transactiion fees.
I did cancel on one company within the 15 day trial period so they say they are reversing the charges for the 4 - yes 4 charges. They haven't shown up yet- but the credit card company says I won't have to pay them in the end as I have email proof and conversation proof that I will get the credits.
Read the fine print carefully-- trial periods are from the date of ORDER - not receipt. AND-- you don't even receive the products until AFTER the trial period-- so yes- the credit card companies are aware of these and many get stuck with the charges.
If there is a problem- you have to get a manager on the phone and true-- permahold or web help chat in the end they send you to another phone number. So buyer beware.
Dr. Oz - if you subscribe to TV docs opinions-- say most of those are not worth it. Very few work.
So-- if you're wanting to use something tried and true- and reputable with $ back guarantees-- stick with big companies.
And B.- if you're interested in using ours-- just email me at ____@____.com

I'm glad you're getting help from your credit card company- stick with it. Mine told me I had to have proof they would credit or it was out of their hands.

Yes I ordered the acai berry. In the mean time while waiting for the product to come in the mail I was talking with my sister and she had said only certain companies are worth ordering from...well I did not order from the good company. When I got the package in the mail i did not open it and felt for an invoice. There was no invoice inside and on the outside of the package there was no information for me to contact them with. I did also call my credit card company and they had known of the company and gave me a phone number to get a hold of someone. I also still had the email I had sent to order it and sent a reply stating I wanted to cancel. I did call the number they gave me and got my order cancelled but had to pay to mail it back. Long story short is I never opened the package, never tried the product, just will never order such a thing again. Also there have been no charges on my card since I mailed the product back. Good Luck!

A tip to all you ladies:

When you get a package that you don't want/ didn't order, WRITE: "REFUSED: RETURN TO SENDER" all over it and put it back in the mailbox. That way you don't have to pay to ship it back. Especially when you are dealing with a dirty company!
