Oil Stains in the Driveway

I would try Dawn dishwashing detergent and hot water. Squirt on the Dawn brush with a stiff broom, rinse with a few buckets of hot water. You may need to repeat the process a few times and rinse really well with the garden hose. But I think the hot water will cut the grease faster than cold.

Go to home depot or Walmart. There is a specifc solvent that you can use. I think it comes in two parts. If you go to home depot, you can ask someone. My husband used it when someone parked in our driveway and left a huge stain!

If it's an old stain(s) you might have to use kerosene or muriatic acid. Be very careful to follow safety procedures!

I was going to just say use dawn and scrub very well and let it sit for an hour and rinse. See what happens, it will definitely help of the stains are old, or completely get rid of new stains. We had to do that in our garage and driveway when we moved out of our rented property. Good luck!

Actually we had an old stain where my husband accidentally knocked a can that had dirty lawnmower oil in it. I tried the kitty litter trick first and it worked just fine. Buy the ultra cheap stuff and spread a fairly heavy layer completely over the stain. Let it sit for several days then sweep it up. There was still some residue so I used Dawn full strength and scrubbed with a brush. If that doesn't work I'd go somewhere like O'Riley or Auto Zone and have them point you in the right direction for a chemical cleaner.
