I need to find a new preschool for my daughter. Last year when my older daughter was there she actually learned things. Now this year we have a new teacher and my daughter has not learned anything even the simplest thing as write her name. The teacher is never in her classroom on time which has made drop off bad for my daughter and very stressful for us. We never had this problem last year but I guess this is what I get when it has had a high turn over of new teachers. I need a school that is very good and the teacher must be very patient. I don't want something that last a couple of hours. She usually goes from 8:30 until 4 pm that gives me time to pick up her older sister from Kindergarten and than go pick her up. She needs to be with other kids so she can be a little more independent of her sisters.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I got my daughter into DKH Academy and she is loving it a lot. She has been going for 2 months now and her whole attitude towards school has changed. She loves her teacher who is there when she gets there and very friendly. She missed going to school over the Holiday break and today she was "REALLY EXCITED" to go back to school. So far I have been very happy with the staff and the school. She no longer whines when we drop her off. I am glad we were able to get in at the time. She has also learned to write her name and a few other letters too. :)

Dkh academy in Highland Village is outstanding. My daughter has been there since she was 3. She is now in Kindergarten there also. They are the most loving, wonderful people I have ever met. They are accepting of all people. They are wonderful. They are off of 407 on Briarhill.

My daughter went to the Children's Courtyard in Lewisville on Round grove road, and willow ridge. By the time she was 2.5 she could write her letters, spell her name, and knew words like imaginary and creative, and what they meant and could apply them to sentences. I loved the curiculum they used and was thrilled with all her teachers. They have a very low turn over rate. Casey is the preschool director and she is wonderful. There telephone number is ###-###-####. I know you asked for Flower Mound, but it is seriously the best of all the courtyards that we looked at and, after we moved from Lewisville to Denton, I still drove my daughter there for daycare. They are open from 630-630 and are great and flexible and just wonderful, we had such a good expirence we still send her back for summer breaks, (she is in 1st grade, and we are home now when she gets home from school.)

Good Luck.
