Any moms out there that drive a Nissan Murano? We are looking at this car (used) as well as Honda CRV's. We're doing our research but I'd love some first hand information if you've got it! Anyone love/hate these cars? Thanks!

It probaby sounds silly but I have a 98 CRV and I dread the thought of having to give it up some day. It's old but WONDERFUL. I love this car! We got it new and it now has over 120000 miles on it. I would recommend it to anyone. I haven't seen the new models but usually they get better over time. I have had very little maintence on it -- not much more than the usual oil changes, brakes, tires. I can't say enough about it. Hope this helps.

I have an 07 CRV, the model with the built-in sat nav and backup camera (best feature!). I really like it. I thought I would like the Muranos as much or possibly better since they are a little more expensive, and rented one for a week on vacation this summer. It maybe had slightly more kick than the CRV, but other than that I like the CRV much better. The Murano had a sort of annoying blind spot because of the shape of it, and the CRV just seems like it is better quality in the interior (but we have the top interior model and the Murano we rented was definitely the most basic model). I was really happy to get back in our CRV at the airport. A friend of mine has a Rogue - it seems just as nice as the Murano and is cheaper.

I've owned a Murano for 2.5 years and will definitely get another one in a year or so. The backup camera and GPS are great. We have leather seats - which I highly recommend. It is so easy to clean up dirty kids' finger prints and spilled drinks. I test drove a CRV and didn't think that it was as comfortable to sit in as the Murano. Good luck shopping!

We bought a new CRV in January. The car has been great and I just now need my first oil change which seems amazing to me. We looked at the Murano and I loved the styling but not the price. I felt that the CRV had great legroom in front and back (I am 5' 10"). Most importantly, I feel like it is safe for our little guy who is now 8 months. The infant seat and now convertible carseat (Britax marathon) fit great. The only downside is that there is not as much pep as some of the other cars out there; the Murano has a great engine :)
Good luck; it is so hard to decide!

My sister and I rented this car for a week and we loved it. I have a two year old and she has a one year old and both of their car seats fit and there was still more space. Of course when you rent them they give you the newer model it was an 2009 but It could not be that much of a difference.

We just bought a new car and looked at the murano and the crv. My mom has a 03 crv and they are much roomier than the new, rounder models. As for the murano, i didn't care for it or the price, but my cousin has one and fits 3 car seats in the 2nd row. Good luck with your search.

I know you didn't ask, but I have a Mazda CX-9 and LOVE it. They make a smaller version, the CX-7, that you may want to consider.
