Hi Moms,

Has anyone stayed at the Nickeloden Hotel in Orlando? Feedback please? We are going there for 6 days (my husband is going for 8 days, he leaves today). One of my best friends checked in and checked out last night because she said it was disgusting.. Other people have told me it's SO much fun for the kids!!!!
Experiences????

I stayed there once for a weekend a couple years ago. I don't remember it being dirty. But I do remember it is FOR SURE a KIDS hotel. I swear most parents drop their kids at the pool and head to the bar or something. The kids were just ........ unbelieveable. No manners, totally rude. They were running around like maniacs. My daughter & her girlscout troop loved it. But the moms were like "never again!" lol

I looked at booking there earlier this summer because it looked cool on line but we stayed somewhere else due to price. We did drive by it and it looked nice but not as amazing as I thought it would.

I guess I would suggest reading some reviews on line and then take your best gut feeling on the place. Reviews can always go one way or the other but if the general concensus is bad-I would have to go elsewhere.

It looks amazing, but I've only talked to people who stayed there and they did the same thing your friend did. They checked out the same day they checked in because it was horrible. I've heard that from multiple people as well.

The same people said the pool area and the characters were great, but the resort itself was disgusting.

Hello!! I have stayed there with my niece's girl scout troop twice..and both times it was GREAT!! I did not find it dirty or anything wrong. All the girls had fun and that is what counts the most..the kids!!:) They always closed the pool when it was dirty from a little kid accidently going potty in it, so the pool was always cleaned! If you want somewhere to take your children, then this hotel would not be a bad choice as they will have fun! But it all depends on where you and your children want to go...I hope you have fun in whatever you decide!!!:)
Remember to keep :) SMILING and have fun with your kids!!^_^

It's both - disgusting AND fun for the kids.

My daughter absolutely loved it.

It is fun for the kiddos. The pools are great!! Lots of activities, etc.
But your friend is right. It is disgusting! The rooms are old & gross. One of our bathrooms had bugs in it. Little tiny ones that could fly. Awful!
It was very ghetto!
The character breakfasts, etc are fun though. The food was decent.
I'd stay at Disney.

We stayed there several years ago and overall had a great experience. Our room was nice, the facilities were clean & fun and the pool was awesome. My DH & I's only issue was that we must have been there over an employee friends & family weekend because Thursday was fine and then Friday all these loud and obnoxious people descended on the place with different colored badges. At the time our boys were small and it made enjoying the pool a lot harder. We'd have appreciated being made aware of what was going on before we checked in. Otherwise we had a good time.

We went last year with the girl scout troop for Scout weekend. The resort was sold out, and very very crowded. We had 4 rooms, and as for cleanliness...eh....they were ok. We stayed 2 nights and that was MORE than enough to see and do everything. We bought armbands for the movie...and saw them all, and a few more than once, watched a stage show, and had the character breakfast. There are crafts to participate in near the pool but our troop leader decided that they were too expensive and then decided that everyone would get keychains, and some other schmaltzy stuff and then billed us $10....I would have rather spent the $14 for my daughter to make her own tie dye shirt by the pool and then be able to wear it again, use it as a beach cover up, sleep shirt or whatever. I would have passed on the character breakfast too....to me it was pricey, and the leader kept making everyone put their forks down and jump up for photo ops with characters my daughter couldn't care less about..she just doesn't watch Nick much, but if your kids do, maybe they would enjoy it more. Of course everyone liked the pool, but any hotel has a pool, and some in Orlando have water parks. Have fun, but for us, I couldn't imagine spending 6 days there...so much more to do in the area!
