Negative Side Effects from Mona Vie

Has anyone experienced negative side effects from taking Mona Vie?

I have been taking it for about two weeks now. Last week, about 30 minutes after taking it, I just felt weird and my vision was a little distorted for about 20 minutes.

Today, about 30 minutes after taking it, I had a weird hot flash, followed by tingling in my scalp, difficulty swallowing, dizziness, nasea, anxiety, dilation of my pupils, etc.

I am beginning to think this isn't coincidence. Yet, everything I have found on the net says no negative side effects have been reported.

Anyone have experience with this supposed miracle drink?

What can I do next?

I would stop taking it like NOW and get my money back. You don't want to risk taking more and more and end up in the hospital or worse.

Personally, Mona Vie is a HUGE red flag for me. I had a so called friend pushing this stuff on me like crazy. It is sold through MLM's and the tactics of some MLM'rs are not truly ethical. They want your $$$ and they want to suck you into selling it.

I would speak with my Dr. regarding these side effects and if you still want to use the acai berry products, you can find the completely legit at whole food stores, sprouts, etc.

I did not intend to insult any mlm'rs, it is just my opinion that they are only interested in the $$ not YOU.

I've never had any side effects but a friend of mine who has gone through chemo has joint soreness, back soreness and neck soreness - it was her body detoxing so she cut back to 1 ounce twice a day for 3 days instead of the 2 ounces twice a day and that took care of it.

As for sodium benzoate, the FDA makes it mandatory for ALL food products to contain this, and MonaVie contains less than a bottle of bottled water.

Fruitwise, MonaVie does not use pesticide sprayed fruits - be careful what you read.

I cannot use that product due to being allergic to some of the juices in the product. For example, it has bananas which is in the latex family. Also, one version has corn syrup (that's not healthy!!!).
It sounds like you may be having an oral allergic reaction (difficulty swallowing). And, the product also has preservatives like sodium benzoate.

It is also possible that you are detoxing (that's one of the purposes of the product). You might try a more pure product like Noni or Pomegranate juice - these must be stored in the refrigerator after being opened. Also, freshly juiced fruit is the best as it's not pasteurized. You need to read all labels carefully to ensure it's a pure form of any of the juices and you might want to make sure you're getting organic. Many of the berries used in Mona Vie are ones that a sprayed with lots of toxic insecticides, etc. (e.g., berries).

I personally don't believe much of the hype about this product and the fact that it's sold via MLM is a huge red flag IMHO - you can get very healthy products at Sprouts, health food stores, etc. And, you can get supplements that have similar ORAC values like grapeseed extract, resveratrol, etc.

I've been taking if for over a year now and never had that side effect. I don't believe it is a bad product, however, there is definitely a possibility you could be allergic to something in it?? Are you taking the active, original or pulse?
