K. Doing a party for my 11 year old. Going horse back riding. I can only afford the 25 min ride. I have 5 girls coming. Is this going to be like........ " Thats It ! " I am feeling so weird about this. We just could not do it for an hour. AND She wanted 2 extra kids. I just want them to be excited and not disappointed that this is not a big long thing. ( they all know , and no one is really mentioning anything, but we are not there yet :0( )

What can I do next?

You are celebrating your daughter's birthday and in a fun, creative way. Nothing dumb about it. Fill the rest of the time with fun and food and touring the stables (maybe ask some staff to give a guided tour and let the girls rub down the horses, polish saddles, etc.)

I think 25 min is enough. Have you been on a horse lately? If you are not an experienced rider then you can't ride for that long with out your butt and thighs killing you! I think 25 min will be good enough and some girls will probably be ready to get off by then. I mean I think they will have fun without becoming too sore. Sounds great to me :)

I just asked my 12yo and she said she would be happy just to get on a horse. But my girls are excited just to do little things as we don't get out much either. She also has a huge love for animals. But thinking as a mom I can't afford much either and someone reminded me recently that I need to remember to try to teach my kids that being together with friends/loved ones is most important. It's not about gifts/how much money you spend. I can't afford to even give my girls parties for their birthdays. Granted they are all within a week of each other but still. If you try to make it special with what you have, she will appreciate it. Good luck!

Right now they may be thinking that's it (if they even are) but when you get on a horse it's different they'll be thinking wow that was a long ride. I know that kind of stuff is expensive, good on you for having so many girls go :)

Oh yeah, 25min for inexperienced riders will be MORE than enough! I have some family that grew up on a farm and I am city girl. I went to visit and they put me on a horse for like and hour+. I was in agony the next day!! I think if you just do the horse ride, eat and let the kids hang out you are good to go!

25 minutes is plenty of time. Just have cake and ice cream after or maybe even a sleep over.
