I volunteered for my daughters preschool for last month. Now we are moving out of the country for good immediately after Thanksgiving. On this Thanksgiving, I want to say thanks to both the teachers who were so nice to me. I am also surprised to see how actively they are involved with the kids and keep them buzy and do so much for them. I have learnt a lot from them and although I have appreciated them orally...I am not sure how to express thanks on thanksging. Pls help me on this ladies. Thanks to you all in advance.

As you worked there you know when they go eat. So why dont you just have lunch delivered. Everyone will get a bit out of it so cannot say anyone left out.
A handwitten card with a sincere note saying excatly what you are thankful to them for is totally appropriate. I think in this era of "gift giving" the spoken/written word has gotten lost. Everyone appreciates a kind word, and being recognized for a job well done!!

Hello M., as you described, they seem really nice. I would cook something for them, their favorite or any of my special recipe, that they can relish during thanksgiving.
it is wonderful that you are going through this effort! First of all write them a fantastic reference letter! then make a donation to their classroom in their honor...like a book(s) or some sort of material they lack!

I think a handwritten, personal thank you letter would be ideal. Be sure to list some of the things each teacher did that really impressed you. Maybe include a photo of your daughter.

How about a nice Peace Lily plant for each of them. You could wrap the bottom in a nice paper and put a ribbon around it then have your daughter make a card for each of them. You could pair it with something for the classroom (markers, paint, glue etc),

I was active duty military and my sister was early childhood education. She asked me to visit and teach them about what I did in the military, I asked a recruiter for some stickers and pencils and that was a hit! When I went away I would send pictures of what I was doing and where I was. She appreciated it as it helped put names with places. They got a map and placed stars on the places they saw me go too! It was fun for both of us! It kept our relationship growing and help foster a new learning experience for the little ones.
So maybe the gift could be a map? and the gift that keeps giving is your keeping in touch with them?
As an aside the kids gave me a little daffy duck figurine so all the snapshots I sent had daffy duck doing something new! It was a cute scrapbook item!

Perhaps you could make a dontation to a childrens carity in their names, or buy supplies to donate to the school that would help them be more effective teachers.

As an educator, I can tell you the best and most meaningful gift is a note or letter of apprecuation. It is easy to do and doesn't cost anything. Knowing how we make a difference for our students is the BEST thank you we can receive. Thanks for thinking of these hard-working women! Good luck with your move.
I really like the idea of writing your own note and including a note from your daughter. Something for the classroom sounds like a good idea too. I hear that teachers often use their own money when purchasing classroom items.
