Need Help W/exercise!

I am starting to get frustrated w/the fact that I can't seem to find time to workout at all. I need to lose between 15-20lbs and that kind of seems impossible right now unless I starve myself which I can't do. I stay at home with my kids and babysit one other during the day and another one at night. I recently bought Walk away the pounds and thought maybe that would be the answer, but my youngest cries everytime I go to do it. For some reason he can't stand to see me exercising. I thought about doing it when he goes to bed but it seems like there are too many other things that need to be done during that time period so if anyone has any suggestions on to how I can achieve my goal without starving myself that would be great.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, I started walking this week w/my youngest since it's been so nice outside. I'm just not sure what I'm gonna do when it gets cold again. If anyone wants to get together to walk I usually go about lunch or so. My email is ____@____.com

I have a two year old and a 10 month old. I fit in my excercises in, in the morning before everyone wakes up. I run about a mile, (you have to work up to it with intervals) This is like a total of less than 20 minutes and it tones you up very fast. I've lost 12 pounds so far, and am still losing. This took me a total of like 3 months or so, bareley changing my diet. (I just added salads and cut fried foods)

H.,
You should understand that a mommy should take care of herself in order to be the best mommy you can be. Find time somehwere somehow to get a little exercise in. You will feel refreshed and feel better about yourself, which in turn is good for your kids. I struggle with this one myself and
I seem to come up with a million things I can do instead of exercise. You could also put on music and be silly and dance with your kids. It would be time for you to exercise and time for them to have mommy all to themselves to do something fun. Hope this helps. B.

Not sure what kind of work out you are wanting to do, but the way that I manage to fit it into my schedule is by using the child care center at the gym. I go to Gold's Gym and I drop my kids in their child care center and my kids seem to love it. I was nervous about leaving them there at first, but I usually peek in on them when I am in between sets. They are fairly resonable in price.
Good luck.

has some videos that you can do with your kids...
just a thought. add extra steps in your day... use stairs when you can, short distances walk instead of driving... take the long way arround to get something you need...walking is a good start, and it doesn't even seem like excersise if you are just doing the extra things durring your day... atleast it would be a bit of a start... maybe show your youngest some exercies that you can do together... jumping jacks... stiff like that, make it fun for him as well as yourself... you could also include the kids you sit as well..
also remember that doing house work burns calories too... instead of bending down for something... do a few squats...ad some lunges to your sweeping...

I'm having a hard time to but i force myself to exercise. when my baby which is 11 months goes down for her nap i do a 30 minute workout video. I do Ultimate ABS on TAEBO. It has worked good for me so far. I also started watching my calories everyday. I can't have no more then 1500 but it goes by how much you weigh. I started doing that on the 3rd of this month. My size was borderline between 16/18. Since i started working out and just watching my calories and taken out all fatty sugars and stuff, I'm now in a 16 comfortable. I can button my pants no problem. So i would just maybe watch ur calories or portion control. Also if you need anyone to exercise with I'm always free to meet new people and workout with. My husband just left in October for Iraq and I need the company. I have a 6 yr old boy, 4 yr old girl and a 11 month old girl. I hoped i helped some. just e mail me here or my other e mail ____@____.com if you want to get together or something.

My daughter fusses when I try to work out as well. I just try to include her. I talk to her alot and make dumb faces to keep her entertained while I am doing the workout. I have walk away the pounds and I usually have her in her exersaucer and I just ask her things like "are you walking?" "work those arms". As long as I am smiling and giving her attention at the same time she seems to be Ok with it. When she doesnt want to just be next to me I put her in my front carrier and do the walk. That not only calms her down but gives my work-out a boost!!! good luck. Hope this helps

Hi H. Q.,

Try going outside with the kids. Bundle them up, put them in strollers and go for a brisk walk. The scenery will get their attention and you get the cardio your body needs and your mind will benefit from.

Please contact me for more info if you like H.. I can give you some more ideas that will help you.

If you are just needing to lose 15-20 pounds, I think you could just go on a diet that you like, and count chasing after the kids as part of your workout. LOL! My kids were the same way, but now that they are old enough, I have started a baton twirling group that meets three times a week, and that's actually been helping me to lose some weight.

I assume the 6yo is in school? If so, I'd pack up your baby and the one you babysit and go walking somewhere...outside if it's warm enough, inside if it's not. You could go walking at the mall, inside of a college arena, etc.

Also, bands are a good way to work out. Maybe try doing a band workout during nap time. Of course, if you are like me you need nap time to do dishes, clean up, prepare meals, etc.
