Navy Mom

We are a Navy family too...if you ever need a babysitter please call to interview my 16 year old daughter...we just moved up here and she is looking for some babysitting gigs.
You may want to consider joining the Y...it's a great way to have your child meet other children. The Jumping Kangaroo has a lot going on too..an easy and inexpensive way for children to meet and play with each other. I wonder if the base has a youth group? All the other bases we've been attached to has had teen groups and youth groups. Just some ideas. Where did you transfer from? We live in the Great Bridge area, what about you? T. K

Have you tried to go on Meetup.com and see what groups have meetups in your area for your sons age group? I am part of a play group on that site and we have mostly children under 5 years old. A lot of the women are Navy Wives.

Hi M., My husband was on the Enterprise but he no longer is. He's on shore duty now. I do know what you're going through though. I have a 6 yr old daughter who has lots of friends that I'm sure she would be willing to share with him if you would like. I know how hard deployments can be so I'm willing to help anywhere I can.
Don't forget, mom needs friends too so I'm here if you need to talk and I have some pretty cool friends here also. :) I go to IVillage alot and post there on the military wives board.
