"Natural" New Mom Ideas

My younger sister is going to have a baby! She lives across the country. I want to send her a New Mom care package. I have done this for friends a couple times, but my sister is a little different in that she lives and eats very naturally. She mainly buys organic, fresh, and local. She doesn't like many common products or chemicals in her beauty or cleaning products etc. I have a couple baby items for the package, but I am looking for recommendations for lotions or creams and maybe natural ways for dealing with morning sickness or other pregnancy issues. Teas, crackers etc. any other ideas?

What can I do next?

Get her some glass baby bottles...many plastic bottles have bad chemicals that leach into the liquid.

I am always so happy to get a jar of coconut oil. I use that stuff for EVERYTHING. Shaving, face cleanser, face moisturizer, lotion...I even made a deodorant out of the stuff.

Oh and I agree with the essential oils!

Little vials of essential oils, (smelling orange peels and cinnamon sticks helped me a lot with my morning sickness...) she can use them in baths, lotions, etc. for whatever she needs.

Herbal Teas (this site is good for knowing what teas are good, and what to avoid while pregnant... http://www.bellybelly.com.au/pregnancy/tea-during-pregnan... ) you could even make little cards describing the benefit of each type.

We have an herb shop near our house that made a baby belly oil that prevented stretch marks. I loved it and it's totally natural and chemical-free. You might check to see if you have something like that near you.

I make my own lotions and salves using coconut oils and beeswax. You could also include natural care products if she plans to use them, like cloth diapers (getting up a good supply can be pricey) and the like.

Having my baby has really created a need for me to shop online as much as possible. Per the suggestion of other friends, I recently (few months) joined a local co-op that delivers fresh groceries. That has helped me to keep certain things in the house at all times.
