My Dog Was SKUNKED! HELP!!!

Late last night, my dog was sprayed by a skunk! He's very large (husky and collie). I researched and did the following already:
Bath with tomato sauce, bath with peroxide, baking powder, dish soap mixture, Massengill Vinegar Douche rinse (all remedies I found on-line). Boy did I get the strange looks at WalMart this morning!
My question: Does anyone know of any different things I could try if this doesn't work to get rid of the smell? He's outside drying at the moment after his morning of "bath torture" LOL
ALSO, does anyone know any good ways to keep skinks out of your yard?
Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

Ya skunks are bad when it comes to dogs. My dogs have been porcupined a bunch of times, now that is horrible.. Had to take her to the vet for the worst case they said they seen. Her whole right side of her face looked like a porcupine.. It was horrible. The vet estimated over a thousand quills. When this happened we were camping and I had my 2 month old with me at the time.. A year later I pulled out the last inbedded quill from her face.. Horrible! Just thought I'd share.

according to 1001 all natural secrets to pest control- "If you take some old clothes that have been worn and not washed and pour some household ammonia on them then leave them out where you expect the skunk to enter or around your garden it will repel them and they will never come back. Skunks will remember the smell of ammonia and rarely come back to a location where they smelled the odor"

Maybe a few areas of your yard?

By the way, professionally have your dog shaved! He'll feel better & it'll pass quicker!!! poor pup!

I don't know how to get the skunk smell off your dog, though I also thought having him shaved might work.

I live in the South Hills. A couple years ago, we had a skunk frequently in our yard. We had recently bought our house and the lot was overgrown so we thought he might actually be living on our property. I called Three Rivers Wildlife Control and they set a trap and caught him the first night. Let me know if you want their number.
