First of all, Happy Mother's Day to all of you moms! I am excited to celebrate my first Mother's Day this year. I am wondering if you have any ideas for gifts that a baby can give his granmda for Mother's Day? My mom does daycare and cares for my son, so she needs something extra special, but I also want something for my MIL. Ideas?

What can I do next?

Flowerpot with a nice flower then take a popsicle stick and make a little sign with your son's picture on one side and "thanks for helping me bloom" on the other side.

For the grandma this year, we are taking an individual picture of each grandkid (5 total) and each one will be holding a sign that says one of the following words -
We
Love
You
Grandma
Jacque!
Then we are going to combine the pictures together into one large print and frame it. I think we might put the outtakes in a small brag book too since they're so funny. Only a couple of the kids are old enough to be able to write but the other ones can still color and decorate their sign.

I put together a picture book on shutterfly.com full of pictures of my 2 boys from the last 16 months. It's super easy to do and reasonably priced, and you can order as many as you want.

You could make garden stepping stones with your child's hand print or foot print in them. Anything personal will be so much appreciated...and it's so sweet of you to think of them as well! Happy Mother's Day!

I know my mom said she would like a coffe mug with my sons picture on it. She drinks her coffee everyday and that way she always has him with her. I would have not though of that for a gift but that is what she wants. I know this is not a big gift, but it could be something to add to a gift if they are coffee drinkers, etc.

S.,
I had my little guys make a grandma bag for each of the graandma's their first Mother's Day. I painted their feet with craft paint and put one set of feet on each side of the bag. Then i filled it with little things they can play with the baby's when they go to visit. I put a couple of books and some soft toys. I also included a diaper, and some wipes. That way we could drop the boys off and they had what they needed for a short stay. Both Grandma's loved them and used them. Last year, my boys now three, we made another one, but this time I bought one with picture pockets on the one side and their hand prints on the other side.(Michaels craft store) I put pictures of grandma with the boys and put things for their hobby in them. One sews and the other one knits. They were a big hit and both grandmas love to brag with their bags.

We put an inked handprint of my son's hand on every card we give his grandma and grandpa. It makes the card very personal and they have a record of his growth through the cards. We put how old he is too. For MIL, makes sure to send a photo if she lives far away.

My mom likes "brag books" too- little photo albums to show the babies off. And my mom likes picture frames for photos of her grandsons. She has a lot now, some of them are themed ones like FAMILY or GRANDKIDS in big letters with the pictures inside the letters.
