Best one we have found is at the John Fremont Library on Melrose and June St. Tuesdays at 11am for half an hour. The woman who leads it is really wonderful with the children (alternates stories and songs with movements). My son is 14 months and has been going there since a few months old -- he already knows a bunch of songs! Hope your baby enjoys it as much as my son does!

Hi J.,
Every library usually has story time and toddler time. Here is a link for Los Angeles Public Libraries. It gives a list of libraries, or you can enter your zip code and find ones closest to you. Then you can click on the library, and it will list all the activities at that location.

Enjoy!

There's also a storytime at Storyopolis in Studio City, if you want to come over the hill. I believe it's at 11:30 a.m.

Our Borders bookstore in Sherman Oaks hosts a popular one too. I'm sure there's one in your area.

J.,
I just went to an excellent story time in Burbank at a store named Totz. It's on Wed. 11am to 11:30, The story tellers name is Jazz. She did a real good job, reading several books, singing songs and playing with bubbles. My 2 and 1/2 year old son was completely engaged. It's a little out of the way for you, but if you're in the area, perhaps meeting a friend at Porto's for lunch, its fun and right down the street.
