Does anyone know what company "Anthem institute" or now Branford hall used for CMA testing? Or maybe even a place or company you have used for your testing that you would recommend; I'm in NJ.
A little background: January of two years ago I signed up for the medical assistance program at Anthem Institute went until May and took a six month leave to have my daughter. When I went back in October the school had switched over to Brandford hall due to lack of funds. I finished school in May and was promised a free certification test. Well when I went to take that test I was in about question 135 of 150 when the whole internet system in all computers shut down. After waiting to see if it could come back up for two hours they sent us home saying we will contact you when we reschedule we will try to make it in two weeks instead of four (the usual wait time for after you sign up for a test). I received no phone calls, or email. I decided to call the school myself when the A. M. secretary told me the head of that department quit and she had an in with the proctors so now they do not offer the test but the president of the school is looking into it call back later. I called back the following night and the P. M. Secretary told me oh we don't have that test any more when I asked okay so what do I do she said go online a find somewhere else. In my opinion o was promised a free test and since that didn't happen(not by my fault) they should make it right especially because now they are sending me bills to pay oh for the school!!!

What can I do next?

I'm so sorry, these so called "schools" are often for profit businesses that close and leave their students hanging. It's happened here in CA too.
I hope you can find a test online, something that will give you that certificate you paid for.

The problem is Anthem didn't become Branford, Brandford just honored the agreement to finish your education. They are not in any way bound to any agreement made with Anthem.

You need to go online and find a test

What kind of documentation do you have? Do you have documentation that clearly states you are entitled to a free test? Do you have any documentation that you started the test and the computer system shut down?
You have spoken to secretaries and gotten no where. Secretaries are also known as gatekeepers, her job is to stop any calls she sees a nuisance calls and not put the person through to her boss.
You need to go in person with any documentation you have and talk to the person in charge. If you are unable to talk to this person then find the grievance committee for this school and file a formal complaint with them.
This can be a long drawn out process. It will help your case if you can find others who have also been promised this test and were unable to take the test. It would be better for all of you to band together as a group and file a grievance.
If you get no where contact the media, a local news reporter may take an interest in your case and write a story about it. Schools do not like negative reports about their school.
