Has anyone tried MBTs AND the comparable Sketchers? MBTs are very expensive while the sketchers are $100. Just wondering if there is a distinct difference between the two. Thanks!

I have worn my white MBT "tennys" EVERYDAY now since the spring of 07'
That's right.......almost 3 years and they are still holding strong.
I tried on my cousin's MBT's and bought mine on ebay new from someone with excellent feedback.
They take some getting use to, I felt like I was walking like the Pink Panther for the first week (you'll see what I mean.
Email me if you have any questions.

Hi, I've been wearing MBT's for about 7 years now. I am 37yrs old. I bought them for low back pain when standing. I can walk and I can sit...but I can't stand! After buying my first MBT's I knew that were exactly what I needed. I have had many pair of them. I've paid full price off the interent, gotten 20% off deals on internet, bought cloesout MBT's on the interent sites and also bought off ebay for much much less. I wanted other colors and styles besides the tennis shoes and sandals that I have, but they are sooooo expensive. I have found that with MBT's not every shoes is as good or fits the same. I always had to order one half size up from my shoe size, but not all the shoes were designed the same. Then, when MBT changed ownership a couple of years ago, their shoes are made differently now too! They do not last as long and support is not as high and the rocker is lower. I am very very dissapointed with them; along with many other advid MBT wearers'. That being said, when the new Sketchers came out, I immediately tried them. Guess what? I love them! The pair that I got was tan and I'm wearing them alot with my brown sweaters and things I'd never want to wear my big white MBT's with. They feel just as supportive and the rocker is the same. $150 cheaper too! I have no idea how long they will last. The old MBT's life is about 6yrs. The new MBT's life is 2 yrs before the arch fails. I've only had my Sketchers for about 3 months, but so far so good! AS with MBT, I'm sure all Sketchers shoes are made differently too. You may just have to order and send back and reorder till you find the right one! Good luck! Either way, you'll love your new shoes!

I have a pair of both and like them both BUT the Sketchers have the shortest strap that the velcro comes loose sometimes, it's hard to get it to strap right if that makes sense. And I have really narrow feet too and it's still not long enough. I would go with a lace one if I did the Sketchers again just for that reason. Other than that I like them both!

I've tried on both, and they both are comfortable, but the MBT's have a slight bit more rock to me and more choices of styles and colors. I went with the MBT Chapa in the Coffee color and love them and got them on-line for $86.00 and that was with free shipping!!!
