Hi Moms!! Ive got a question that could lead into a request. If this message is against the guidelines of mamapedia, I'm sorry. I'm looking for moms who might have a cricut machine. My sister is having a baby boy, and my mom and I are doing an airplane themed shower. I found this awesome diaper cake that I want to make, but it requires paper airplanes, I believe cut out using a cricut machine. Basically any cute planes, but retro bi-planes from ww1 area would be preferred! ... so basically, I've got two questions, 1. does anyone know of someone who can help me makes some airplanes I can use for this diaper cake, and 2. does anyone know where I can go to ask for help? I'd be willing to pay for time and supplies! If you want to contact me, please message me. Thank you!

So What Happened?

A really amazing mama emailed me, and she's saved the day. She will help me cut the pieces I need, and is offering to help me with another project even! And best yet, she lives local to Douglasville, GA, she's in Atlanta... so I'm going to go meet her in person so we can cut the pieces and I can learn about the machine. and our kids can play, and it will be cool. Thanks mamapedia! :)

PS- craft stores like joanns and michaels won't let you use their demo machines. I called a multitude of them. :( they are stingy. I wish I had a real paper store around me, I bet they would be different.

Check for scrapbook stores in your area. Many of them have die cuts available for free use in their work rooms if you buy the paper from them.

I don't have one, but I would suggest talking to someone at a Hobby Lobby or Michael's craft store and see if they have one they use in classes. You might be able to get them to cut something for you, or they may know someone who would be willing to help.

Fabric stores also sell Cricut machines. I'd ask there to see if they know of someone who would do this for you.

You may also be able to find paper airplane patterns on the Internet.

A lot of preschools also have this capability and might be able to help you out.
