I have posted before about the very laxed environment I work in. There is one guy in the office who has continously pranked another employee in regards to "hey there are donuts in the kitchen go get some" then he gets there and of course no donuts. The guys falls for it almost every time (pretty funny). So now the office wants to play a prank on the prankster.... got any ideas? Trying to keep it possibly food related with out crossing any gross lines.

Thanks!

For April Fools day my daughter went and got a couple of jelly filled doughnuts from the store, sucked the filling out then replaced with ketchup! My husband didn't think it was too funny though ;)

Last year my husband and I sneaked into his office the night before, and we unscrewed the hinges on the refrigerator doors and switched them to the other side (on the same side as the handles). So, the next day, my husband saw people trying to open the refrigerators and they couldn't get it open!! He even saw someone with their foot up on it!! By the time he left that day, the fridge was pulled out about a foot from the wall!

Well, being our office prankster (people are afraid to come to work on April 1 and Halloween because of me!) Here is what I've done in the past:

HUGE fake spider in the bottom of the coffee canister-that had folks screaming and running! No one made coffee that day…

Fake turtle in the "community" water jug-that was funny!

Fake rats under the sink.

Bloody hairdressers practicing head (with funky wig) in the fridge-when folks opened the fridge door they freaked-that was a classic...

Had my coworker dress as the character from the scream movie one year, and as people walked into the lunch room all they seen was her in the dark. People were screaming in fear.

Another year, had the same coworker dress as a glow in the dark zombie and hide in the supply closet-as people would walk in, she would hand them office supplies-after they realized what happen-they were in shock- they screamed and ran-we got in trouble for this prank as folks screamed really loud.

It is getting hard to top myself, and now everyone expects me to do something….so I do it a few days before!

My boss has asked me to "tone it down" this year, so this halloween I am going to borrow my son’s grim reaper costume and walk the halls…

We prank alot too. I work in construction, I am the admin in an office full of 20 to 30 yr old men, boys. On April fools day I took a heavy duty stapler and stapled all thier papers to their desks. I hid their hard hat and glasses. One of the guys is very anal so I flipped all the pictures behind his desk upside down. I unplugged the keyboard and hid it. I stuck a piece of tape underneath the mouse so it would not move on the pad. One guy has his phone attached to the wall so I back up his chair and I tape the cord to the back of it. When he comes to sit down and pulls his chair out the hand piece falls to the ground. I also put a rubber band on the sprayer in the kitchen sink. It got 3 people. The first two just left it. The last person that got sprayed did not talk to me for 3 wks!! Ooops!! LoL! We have fun.
They all think I am crazy. I am sometimes!!
Good luck!!

We have got many people on it ;)

you can take a yellow sponge and cut it into cake size squares and put frosting over it. Put the cake on indivudal plates so its already cut and let him take one.

I like the idea of there are donuts in the kitchen, but top it off by giving a few people donuts to walk around with that morning.

Going off of what Love My Boys said, instead of toothpaste you can put mayo in them. It'll look more like that white cream they put in them.....LOL....

One year for April fools day my teacher made us cookies with salt instead of suger. That is something that he would never expect. Then you can make some to give the others to eat and go tell him while they are eating them there are cookies in the kitchen.

OMG I love pranks!! Just not when they're on me, of course.

If you guys have some sort of Fall Festival at your office you could be in charge of an eating candied apple race game. Instead of apples though, use onions! GROSS!

Taping the water hose on the sink in the breakroom is always a classic.....or laying a fake piece of poo in the floor.

I always loved the idea of getting a bunch of those packing peanuts and filling up someone's overhead bin, so when they open the drawer in the morning they all fall down on them.

If you REALLY want to get someone, buy some stuff called Liquid A$$. Its the most disgusting, death smelling, worst fart smell you can ever imagine. Squirt that stuff in someone's office and tell everyone how "Bob" must have eaten Mexican the night before.....

These may be too much but I used to run a team of mechanics. I was like the little sister they never had. They pranked me all the time. They would put vaseline on my phone then call me. They took all the screws out of my chair so that when I sat down it fell apart. They glued all my pen caps on and my stapler to my desk. They put fishing wire from one desk to mine with a spider on it and lured it down into my face. I hate spiders. Scared the bajeebas out of me. They reallly got me.

I once had this piece of trick candy that looked sooo real. When you pick it up to eat it, it exploded really loud and with a huge flash of light/fire and bang! It worked very much like a cap gun and used the same caps.

Like so many offices everywhere, people would leave food on this table in the middle of the office so people could graze throughout the day. Bagles and cream cheese, chips, cookies, veggies, whatever people left there. Often candy would be left in a pile on the table. So I put my realistic looking trick candy, loaded and ready to go, on the table by some food.

So it was fun, a few people were in on the joke and we sat at our desks perking up to anytime anyone headed to the food table. When finally the trap was sprung and someone would get it, the reaction of the victim was too hilarious. Screaming...food flying everywhere, sometimes spilled drinks, and so on. Someone finally got smart and started taking pictures of the screamers....made for funny laughs at the Christmas party months later.

The old X-acto knife cut spoof with ketchup instead of blood.....

Chocolate covered gherkins mixed in with large chocolate covered nuts (brazil nuts, almonds, etc).....

Okay, so this isn't food related, but one year a bunch of hi-jacked our Director of Administration's office while he was at lunch. We did the following:
We removed all the ink wells from his pens and taped them under his desk;
We replaced all the pictures in his frames with teeny bopper heart throbs (think Justin Bieber);
We taped down the receiver on his phone so when he answered it kept ringing; we also unplugged the hand held part from the phone part;
we hooked all of his paperclips together so when he picked up one, they all came out
ahead of time, we spent days collecting hole punches and then put them in all his files, books, bags, etc.
we had found some styrofoam inserts from a box and taped them all over his walls;
he had coffee cups lined on top of his shelves from places he's been, so we filled them all with coffee;
we were able to get onto this computer and changed the date on his computer to way in the future so all his calendar items started popping up;
we also inserted a teeny bopper cd into his computer so when he logged back in, the music was playing in his office;
we locked some of his file drawers with the keys that come with them and then taped the keys under his desk;
finally, he had his gym bag just laying there...practically asking for us to do something with it, so we took out his gym clothes, printed out a picture of him from our office intranet, blew up the head and made a 'him' out of the clothes and picture and set it up in his office chair.

We then went to the office training room computer and sent him an email with clues as to who did it.

anywho, be sure to post what you end up doing;)

OMG! I'm getting some awesome ideas here!! I tend to be the prankster at my work, but we have to keep things pretty low-key (between a small group of us) because there are others who are much to "sensitive" for pranks. Anyways, this year for April Fool's I set up 2 of my coworkers desks as "Yard Sale." I put neon stickers with prices on all of their desk items and posted "Yard Sale: Cubicles # 7 and #10" on the main door! It went over pretty well and everyone thought it was hilarious! Last Halloween I got my coworker (cubicle neighbor) by setting up spider webs all over her space--she hates spiders!! (I even put a few under the handle on her car which completely freaked her out!!)

You can get some of the fake (plastic) food items (from a toy store or craft store) and set up a "dining room table" on his desk--put a bunch of fake bugs, too?? Or, save your empty food containers and do the "there's cake in the breakroom" but all he finds is an empty cake plate (fruit bowl, loaf of banana bread, tin of cookies, box of donuts, etc)?! Be sure to leave crumbs for effect!
