Looking for a Pediatric Dentist near Boynton Beach

I am still looking for a good pediatric dentist or a general dentist who is good with children. I don't know if I am allowed to post a negative review, but the pediatric dentist I've tried who is in-network with my insurance (CIGNA PPO) was not good at all. They did procedures that were not covered without discussing it with us first... i've been disputing/ appealing their charges for months... Always trying to sell us additional products/ services that are not covered. The doctor's beside manner is very abrupt and business-like, and the dentist's husband is her office manager! My son's visits there were very traumatic; the nitrous oxide didn't help at all, as if they were blowing plain air in his nose. Yet, they charged us $65 for the nitrous (again, not covered) and gave me an attitude the next time when I didn't want them to use it. My son is 7 years old and is a good patient. I would even take him to a family-friendly adult dentist at this point. Will travel to Delray, Boca, Lake Worth, or Wellington.

What can I do next?

I also suggest Dr. Feldman at Boynton and Military in the Winn Dixie Plaza, she and her whole staff are fantastic.

I recommend Dr. Patrick Shepard in Boynton Beach he's a general dentist but great with kids. I take my 5 year old, and recently my 3 year old came with us to see what it was about and she was so excited to have her teeth done too they polished hers.

My husband had a similar situation to yours when we first moved. he went to a dental group on our plan and they told him he needed all sorts of work, which sounded strange since he had never really any dental work before. So he left there without having it done and went to Dr. Shepard to find all was fine and he needed no work.

hi there! I've taken my boys 3 & 5 to Pediatric dentist Dr. Fara Bender on Jog (intersection of Jog and Lantana). They only had cleanings & x-rays but they were fabulous and my kids loved them. However, I'm a little nervous that your bad experience may be the same dentist? (They had a male office manager). Anyway, my boys are supposed to go have additional work done in a few weeks. I loved the office, but please let me know if that is the same dentist.

As far as the coverage, I have found that all dental plans pretty much don't cover anything but the checkups???
