Hi Ladies, My 8th grade son is doing a History fair project and we are looking for little men and a canoe and other misc stuff. Any suggestions on where a good hobby store is that would have these kinds of things? Thanks I really appreciate the help.
Hobby Lobby is a great place to look. I worked there in different departments and the pary section has a lot of stuff. Also in the craft department. Tons of scrapbooking things that would work on a project board. They have the boards too. Some times there is not room so they have them in the back. Just ask. There is one in Lewisville and North Richland Hills and Lake Worth. G. W
Hobby Lobby or Garden Ridge would be my first thought. I would also try a toy store or the toy department at Walmart or Target to see if they have any small figurines. It seems like I've seen bags of plastic army guys. Perhaps they have something non-military as well!
My daughter and I saw a bag of army men for a dollar in the dollar section of Target on Hebron in Lewisville last week. Also, I would look in the toy sections of the dollar stores, Big Lots, etc... The hobby stores in the area are Michael's and Hobby Lobby. Hope you are able to find some. Good luck.

I actually saw a bag of men, etc. at the michaels store on 377 in watauga. I actually made the comment to my husband that it would be perfect for a kid's project! How ironic that you ask the next day (:
There is one off 183 and Forest Ridge in Bedford. Its on the opposite corner of Albertson's. Good Luck
