Looking for Highly Recommended Pediatricians in the Buford/Dacula Area

I'm just about 30 weeks along in my pregnancy, and I just started looking into choosing a pediatrician. I'm COMPLETELY overwhelmed! I would appreciate any suggestions from local Moms--from questions to ask while interviewing potential candidates to names of recommended Pedi MD's or Nurse Practitioners in the area. Thanks!

What can I do next?

We use The Longstreet Clinic (or TLC)I have been going there since my oldest was born and she just turned 7 last week. They have several Dr's and NP's as well. I have seen a few of the doctors but we choose to see Judy Haley NP. She is very caring and understanding. They are located on South Lee St and the corner of Buford Hwy. Right in the heart of Buford. ###-###-####. Also just around the corner in the same bldg is Neighborhood Healthcare in Buford. My husband and I see Dr. Schutte. She is great.

I am also new to the area, moved here in April. I have 3 kids and have taken them to the Longstreet Clinic Pediatric department. It is located on South Lee Street. It is a very popular practice so it is usually quite busy. That is really the only drawback but at the same time it means they must be doing something right.
Anyway, we see Dr. Glisson there. He is really great. He is very easy going and fun. He interacts in a playful, warm way that put my kids at ease with him right away. He also is great about spending as much time as you need to answer all of your questions. I have not experienced his care with a newborn because my kids are 2,4,& 12 but I'm sure he would be just as great.
Hope that helps.

We have been going to Gwinnett Pediatrics for seven years, and they are wonderful. Their main office is next to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, but they also have an office in the Hamilton Mill area. The Lawrenceville office is open on Saturdays for sick visits, which is so great when you have a little one who gets an ear infection on a Friday night!

I second Gwinnett Pediatrics. They are great at getting you in and the nurse line is wonderful. All the doctors are great too!!!
