Looking for Good Ceaser Salad Recipe

Hi- I am looking for a good Ceasar Salad recipe, specifically the dressing.
If you know of anything low fat, that would be great. (But if it's not, that's OK too)

If you don't have a recipe, if you have tried any good low fat bottled Ceaser dressings, I'd appreciate your replies.

Thanks!

I've tried this one before. It was really great. I followed the directions completely, including rubbing the garlic and anchovies on the wooden bowl. It blows away bottled dressing.

S.,

I just used Ken's Steak House Lite Caesar and it is DELICIOUS! I've been using it on tossed salad but last night I made a pasta salad using colored Rotini, marinated artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, green onion, cheese cubes (basically what I had available.) It is a great salad.

As far as a classic Caesar salad, check out allrecipes.com
Here's one I found with good reveiws.

Caesar Salad Supreme

INGREDIENTS
6 cloves garlic, peeled
3/4 cup mayonnaise
5 anchovy fillets, minced
6 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
1/4 cup olive oil
4 cups day-old bread, cubed
1 head romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces

Mince 3 cloves of garlic, and combine in a small bowl with mayonnaise, anchovies, 2 tablespoons of the Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and lemon juice. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cut the remaining 3 cloves of garlic into quarters, and add to hot oil. Cook and stir until brown, and then remove garlic from pan. Add bread cubes to the hot oil. Cook, turning frequently, until lightly browned. Remove bread cubes from oil, and season with salt and pepper.
Place lettuce in a large bowl. Toss with dressing, remaining Parmesan cheese, and seasoned bread cubes.

My favorite ceaser dressing is one I took from a southern living magazine a few years ago.
1 head romaine lettuce, cored
1 1/4 cups creamy-style Caesar dressing
1 jalapeño pepper, quartered and unseeded
1 tablespoon fresh lime or lemon juice
2/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 (5.5-ounce) package gourmet Caesar croutons
Garnish: Parmesan cheese shavings
I like Ken's Steak house creamy ceaser but if you can't find it any creamy ceaser will work. I have also often added more lime or jalapeno as well as some fresh black pepper.
This is a sure crowd pleaser and we love it!

Hi S......

I use a good EVOO in a bowl, and add to that an egg, whisk well. Add in garlic cloves, anchovie paste, (about a 1"inch strip") fresh ground black pepper, and parmesan cheese. Season to your taste. My children love this dressing!

Paul Newman's Own Creamy Ceasar - it is not low fat, but you really don't need much. I love it.

I really like Cardini's caesar dressing. It comes in a light and fat-free version (the light version definitely tastes better). I've been able to find it in all the grocery stores that I have checked. Good luck!

You should try Wish Bone Salad Spritzers Ceasar Delight. Only 15 calories and 1 gram of fat per serving. It is in a spray bottle and you just squirt it on your salad and it tastes great! It is made with olive oil and even though it is lowfat and low calorie it doesn't have that funny bitter taste that you get with other lowfat dressings. I also use a spritz or two is stir fry and pasta salads.

I'm strapped for time this morning, but I got a really good recipe from the Food Network's Rachel Ray. It was on a show that featured salmon cakes (which might not sound that good, but were GREAT). I'm pretty sure it was her 30 minute meals show so do a search from there on the food network site.

The secret is anchovy paste! You can get it at an Italian Specialty Store, or I beleive Meijjer's has it too. ALso, the raw egg, now that they sell pastureized eggs no worries for salmonella!!
