Sorry to say, but we were going to the Pediatricians of dallas group and were not very happy about their billing practices.
Just my 2 cents.

We go to Dr. Yaeger of that same group. When he is unavailable though we have seen Dr. Halsell which has been about 3 or 4 times. She has been great with my daughter. Very caring and very thorough any time we have seen her. The office has been great as well, very professional and caring staff. Any doctor you see there is wonderful and I love the help nurses. They have called me back even over the simplest questions and don't make you feel silly for doing so. You know sometimes us first-time moms get a little conserned over the littlest things!

Hope that helped and good luck to you.

Dr. John Porter has been my son's pediatrician for the last 18 months. I can not say enough good things about his bedside manner in dealing with children to his very competent nursing and office staff (I've left good doctors over incompetent office staff, every visit was an insurance nightmare.)
I work with 5 women who highly recommended Dr. Porter to me.
Things I like about Dr. Porter:
- listens to my concerns and provides good suggestions or directions in everything from behavior to concerns about vaccinations and childcare, etc.
- he works with a group of doctors and you have access to care M-F and till noon on Saturday. For those times when no one is in the office, there is an excellent nurse's line to call.
- he does not over prescribe antibiotics
- lab services are located in the same bldg as his office.
- one of his nurses is a lactation specialist and provided me with lots of help and assurance during our first visit.
- when I call in with an occasional question, one of the nurses get back to me that day.
- I've never had a problem getting in the same day for an emergency visit.

We go to Dr. Halsell. She is really good and takes her time with you, which is a nice change from the last pediatrician that we went to.
