Looking for Advice on All Inclusive Resorts in the Northeast

Hello Mamas,
My 70 something parents are interested in taking me and my daughter on a vacation this summer. They prefer not to travel too far as their health hasn't been great. As they live in CT, that means no further north than New Hamphshire, and no further south than New Jersey. My mom has longed to hear the sound of the ocean, so someplace on the ocean would be ideal. We'd need two rooms and would like meals included (well, breakfast and dinner anyway). Cape Cod, MA and Long Island, NY would be preferable.
Thanks for your help.

So What Happened?

Well, in the end we realized that places just don't offer the "all inclusive" aspect one might find in Mexican resorts and other similar places. We found out about a resort on the Cape called Wequassett. It's definitely on the pricier side. My mom just booked a couple of rooms today. I'm looking so forward to our time there. Thanks so much, everyone, for the tips and suggestions.

I live in Long Island. I suggest you skip this one :)
last summer we had maybe a week worth of beach weather. that was it. it is very expensive, and frankly, nothing exciting :)
my friend took her entire family to lake george last summer and according to her it was a blast for kids and adults. i have not been to lake george (NY), but plan on taking the kids this summer for a few days.

This may not be a resort enough but I just worked with the owners of this hotel in Rockport, MA on Cape Ann.

The managers Missy and Matt are very cool, they have beautiful recently renovated rooms, some with mini-kitchenettes, an indoor pool (and more importantly, it's an indoor walk from their main building to their indoor pool) and are very close to the tiny town of Rockport, MA which is on the ocean. I know breakfast is included, with waffles, etc. but not sure about dinners. Take a look at their website and then call them. I'd talk to either Missy or Matt if you can, tell them Chris Gerardi referred you. My dh and daughter will be taking a long weekend this winter, to get away but not too far.

Good luck!

I know I am kinda late in responding, but I would highly recommend Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY. It isnt near the ocean, but they have a beautiful lake, a spa, pool and wonderful meals. There is hiking and fabulous kids activities in the summer. We go there all seasons. It is an old fashioned place, no tv in the rooms, so if that is an issue, forget it. But my kid was never without something to do, campfires, crafts, hikes, mini golf. Happy Vacation!
