My daughter is turning 16 in a few weeks and would like to take her friends for a manicure. Since I have never had a manicure I have no idea where to go. Anyone have any recommendations? There will be 6 girls altogether. After the manicure we are heading downtown on Metra, so I woulds like to keep it somewhere in the area. Thank-you for any recommendations you may have.

So What Happened?

Hi,
i just want to thank everyone for their reponses. We ended up having the party on Sunday so we had to change things around a little. The nail salon in downtown Arlington Heights was not open on Sunday so we went to Lovely Nails in Randhurst Mall. The girls had a great time and said they did an excellent job. Also because of the Chicago Marathon we did not go downtown. We went to the Melting Pot for fondue. They enjoyed the fondue but did not find the waitress to be very friendly, plus it was very expensive. Overall everything went well and the girls had a great time. Thanks again.

Shalom Nails - in the strip mall at Dundee and A.Hts. road. This is the BEST salon and have very reasonable prices. They offer an early week discount, too. I have had my nails done at sooo many places in last-minute situations and always wish I could be at Shalom.

Why not take them to the Arlington Beauty Academy at the corner of Arlington Hts. & Dundee Rds. Students would do the manicures and you would save a bundle!

Hera Nails in downtown Arlington Heights is really nice. It's only been open a few months so it's clean.

Located near the Jewel and Tuscan Market so you can easily walk to the train.

Note: not open on Sundays.

Good luck!
