Looking for a Good Lullaby CD

The Fisher Price CD is great! It's just called lullabies. My son sleeps with his on a loop all night.
It comes with two CDs one with a singer and one just the music.

Both have gentle female singers but are not your standard lullabies.

I liked Lullaby Magic a lot. It has instrumental versions of each song as well as the vocals.

We'v ereally enjoyed "Loving Lullabies" by publisher Cedermont Baby. It's all instrumental, and it's got a fantastic version of Brahm's lullaby. The girls are almost three and six now, and we still listen to it when we need to calm down a bit.

Here's an oldie and a moldy, but we liked it a LOT. Not your typical lullabies but great for bedtime:

We have Rock A Bye CDs. They're major rock bands music in lullaby form, and they're awesome! (Really, really soothing....even Metallica!)
Our favorites are the Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Go to Amazon. You can search for them and listen to the music before you buy. We have about 10 different groups now.

I like the Rockabye Baby series - they are rock songs by bands like Led Zeppelin, U2 and the Beatles made over as lullabies. Maybe not the "classics" you are looking for but I thought they were pretty cool.

Looking at your old posts, it seems like sleep issues are a common theme. Have you thought about changing approaches?

I was given about 5 different lullaby CDs that the gifters swore were the best lullaby CDs they had ever used. However, I found that George Winston's "December" album is the most calming music for my son. Try a few different CDs to see what works for your baby. And good luck to you! Establishing a bedtime routine is a long, frustrating process but SOOO worth it once you've got it!

I wish I could remember the other one. It had alot of your basic lullaby music, calm and clear and had about 20 different songs..it was long. That one was a gift and we luckily found a second one after we wore it out! If I remember I will add to my answer....

I LOVE "It's a Big World" by Renee and Jeremy. The songs are folky, sweet, and almost make me cry every time I listen. My kids are toddlers now, but they just go to this calm place when I turn it on. You can listen to snippets at Amazon to see if you like it.

The LOVE of my life put a cd out three years ago.

Check out Rick Springfield's "My Precious Little One." It's so sweet. His kids are grown now but he recorded songs he wrote for them when they were babies.

It's super adorable and I bet you can find it at the library. Mine has two copies. :)
