We use them - kids are 4 and 6. I have found the best luck with probiotics for kids. At that age I used a powdered form I got at a heathfood store called daycare defense. I still put it in their water/juice/milk daily. I believe it helps :) Best of luck!

We have given ALL of our kids Echinacea since 6 months. None of my kids have had antibiotics and my oldest is 10 years old. We use Herbs for Kids Echinacea/Astragulus or Echinacea/Golden Root. The gummies have too much sugar, which offset the benefits of the nutrients.

Most of my friends do the same, as well as we use therapuetic dosages for short term of vitamin A, as it is the primary nutrient for epithelial tissue, which is what lines the upper respiratory tract. The Echinacea and the A work like charms!

We also give 1 PB8 nearly every day. No other probiotics seems to work the same. Our kids are never sick.

Echinacea is fine to give to kids. You may also want to visit a wholefoods store for other natural supplements that can boost your sons immune system. A few tips that I hope will help; decrease the amount of refined sugar in his diet. Sugar has been known to suppress the immune system. Avoid a lot of fast food, and processed foods. The chemicals they contain have lots of negative effects on kids' bodies. Teach your son to wash his hands thoroughly. I know this is a difficult skill for young kids but hand-washing really does help in not catching as many illnesses. Hope this helps. Blessings to you and your little one.

try adding acidophilus/probiotics, we use a chewable brand that needs refrigeration.

I use elderberry extract (when she gets sick) in my daughters juice and probiotics (everyday). If you can find a supplment without all the sugar the gummies contain. I also use the Herb for Kids brand.
