I am afraid I just ruined my 7 year olds favorite sweatshirt. He just hard a birthday,and his teacher gave him a giant sticker. I put the sweatshirt with the sticker on it through the wash and dryer. I have been able to peel some of it off but there is still a lot left. Does anyone know any laundry secrets for getting stickers off clothes? Thanks!
I found a product called Goo Gone at Walmart. I, myself are very forgetful about the stickers and have used this product and it works.

I know this sounds crazy, but try wd-40. Put several paper towels under the sticker-so that the grease doesn't soak to the back side. Let it soak for 10-15 min., then get the grease out with dish soap the has grease cutter. I know this works well with grease stains on clothes, and wd-40 takes off hard surfaces, so hopefully the combo will work for this, too.
I have done that a hundred times with the stickers from the nursery at church. Just like a lot of others said Goo Gone works wonders. I use it on so many things at home. It is a couple of dollars at Walmart. Be sure you use dawn or a presoak with hot water because it is oily and if you don't you will be stuck with an oil stain instead. But if you have some WD-40 on hand it works well too, I just don't like the smell of it.
"Goo Be Gone" Works great for lots of things even lipstick and tar, you can get it at walmart! I have used it to remove sticker residue off of my counters and car windows. The only thing is...must soak the spot with Tide or Dawn afterwards to remove the residue which is oily!
Goo gone is terrific. Get a bottle and follow the directions. You have to have a bottle of this stuff in your house if you have kids.
We've done this a few times. My mother showed me how to get it out. Get a container of real lard and use your hands to rub a glob into the area and it removes it. Then use Dawn dish soap on the area where you put the lard to remove the grease residue. My kids' clothes look perfect after using this method. It also takes out tar and I've used it on the kids shoes during the summer.

Try using some rubbing alcohol on the sticker. (I would test the alcohol on a hidden part of the shirt to make sure it doesn't fade first, though.)

If so.. Peanut butter...
Souns messy.. ya.. but rub it on... and use your nails.. or a spoon to scrap it off and use the same old of what you are takein off to rub in other areas.. then re wash.. and maybe a few times... on low load.. and Poof.. All gone!!!
I can't tell you how many times I have done this same thing with stickers! I know you've had several similar responses but I wanted to add my two cents on Goo Gone (or De-Sov-It, which is basically the same thing). I have always been able to get it out with this and a little bit of scrubbing and picking. You do have to make sure to pre-wash it again with detergent to get out the goo-gone.
It's a great product to keep on hand,too. It works really well at getting that sticky stuff that's left on things after you take a price sticker off. And getting crayon marks off of things. Once you get it you'll wonder how you ever lived with out it.
Goo Be Gone or De-Solve-It They are very good at getting sticky glue type messes off of anything.
Try gently scraping the goo and paper off while it is wet, maybe with a little dish washing liquid rubbed in the area. (Use a butter knife or something not sharp or serrated.) If there is still residue left try something like goo-off, a product made to remove goo from price tags on all kinds of materials. Always try something this kind of product in a less noticeable place first. I had a laundry accident when my son was 7 with his Disney World sweatshirt and my final solution was to order the same shirt and replace it. Expensive solution, but he was soooo sad!
