As I left Barnes with my 6 y/o dd flurries were falling from the sky and with the wind gust Jack Frost was nipping not just at our noses BRRRR
Billy: "Oh no! The Blizzard is starting. It is stinging my face."
Nanay: "I hope we make it home B"
Billy: "I hope so too, Nanay."
Nanay; "What if we don't B?"
Billy:(all somber) "I love you and it was nice knowing you."

Hahaha I found myself laughing all the way home.

I looks like schools will be closed tomorrow and maybe even the day after ( additional 3.5" coming Wednesday). For those of you who will be stuck at home because of this blizzard what are your plans? I seriously am dreading not being able to drag them out of the house. Yikes!

We plan on doing a movie marathon- Nanny Mc Fee and Cats and Dogs. Maybe even pull out Mary Poppins. Hmmm we may even play find the kids in the snow drift also known as Yey! One less mouth to feed. LOL.

What can I do next?

Last year where I was at we got 18 inches of snow in >24 hours! It was insane! But I LOVED it! We watched a 'Ben 10' marathon for the whole week the kids were out of school...it was SO fun! Get out the snow gear, stock up on munchies, hot chocolate and firewood and enjoy it!

~ In my opinion there is nothing more romantic than waking up to a whole grip of snow...it's like the whole world (well your city/town anyway) stops for just a bit and we are all one...doing the same exact thing...everyone is late for work, if they even go at all...and everyone has to dig themselves out, the same as you...oh, it's almost magical! I love it.

We arent' supposed to get anything. THey cancelled school today because it iced this morning then it was 45* by 9:30 and the roads were dry. We've already had 5 snow/ice days.
Stay safe and enjoy your movies.

My daughter is 3 and normally on Wednesdays she has a gymnastics class that is an hour long - just got the call that it has been canceled. So I guess we will be baking cookies!

I love it when kids say the unexpected.
We are in NH and plan on doing not much today. My oldest is watching movies and my 2 youngest are playing legos. And I am sitting on the computer. Possible laundry later

We're in Texas, and on day 2 of snow days. We have about an inch of ice covered by a few inches of snow. My husband and I both are from the North and learned to drive in these conditions as teens. People here are INSANE when it comes to driving in snow/ice. So I hunker down at home and don't go anywhere, not because I don't trust my driving, but because I don't trust other people's driving!

I LOVE the story - so stinkin cute!

My biggest concern is my daughter that lives about 45 minutes from me. Her and my grandson are both really sick with what I figure is bronchitis. She did have an appointment for grandson for yesterday morning, but the dr office cancelled it. Probably the same today. My daughter is immune suppressed, so she MUST have proper medical care. I can't drive over to help her. ICK. So it is wait it out!
