Good Morning Ladies

Another weekend is here, which means my husband is gone and I've gotten to set on chicken nuggets, spaghetti, hot dogs, and Mac and cheese for my little ones, we still sit down and eat together however, I know I am being lazy since my DH is gone.
We received some "sad" news about a relative this week and my 10 year old has been really down in the dumps so I know we'll do some baking but I really want to have a special dinner, and of course when I ask them I get "hot dogs, nuggets, :)) I'm hoping for some great ideas, not only for this weekend but to help me get more in the habit of doing better by them.
Thank you for any suggestions and Have a Blessed Day!

I second the Kraft Foods website!!! Their meals are SOOO easy and become instant favorites in our house. In fact I'm making the shepard's pie (this month's issue) right now! :) Tomorrow I'm going to make their chicken pot pie, truly comfort foods for us!

Good luck & I hope your sweetie feels better soon!

I get the Kraft Foods magazine every month or so. It has some great ideas for kid friendly foods. The magazine is free.

Each month it will give you different things to do and things to do for the holidays. It's fun! Just note that it is an advertisement for Kraft, so a lot of the ingredients are Kraft foods. You can substitute.

I hope this helps!

Well, if it would make you fel better, you can buy all natural, organic hot dogs and nuggets. Check Kroger, Sprouts or Whole Foods. And The Cupboard in Denton.
Still quick and easy, but not loaded with nitrites, hormones, pesticides, high fructose corn syrup, and countless other things the human body was never meant to consume...
And Walmart carries organic mac n cheese. THere's Annies brand and Kraft now makes an organic version.

T.,
I had to let you know about one of our family favorites!! It is a pampered chef recipe idea, and sooo easy. It is called Taco Ring, and I am telling you the truth when I say I get requests for this from people all the time..it is soo simple!
Brown a pound of hamburger meat, and add a taco seasoning packet. Get 2 packets of crescent rolls. This part is a little tricky to explain, but open the rolls and lay them in a circle, with the short ends of the triangles touching, making a wreath shape. Then pour the meat in top,add shredded cheese on top, and fold the triangle tips back over, it should be in a cirlce shape, and honestly look like a wreath. Bske it for as long as needed on the crescemt rolls, and top with your favorite taco toppings. We serve with chips and queso, and love it. Pleas PM me if you want more information. And best of luck with your family weekend, it is always good to band together when times seem rough! ~A.~
