Joints Popping

I know this sounds weird, but has anyone else experienced their joints continously popping in and out of place? I had my baby 9 months ago, but when I lay down (or change positions while laying down) my hips, back, even ankles pop. Its weird. Just wanted to see if anyone knows what causes this?

What can I do next?

Hi P.,

Try going to a chiropractor. I see one regularly and it really seems to help.

Hi P.,
I had the same experience of popping joints. It was so weird! It seemed to be hormonal, because I would get the clicking and popping in my back and hips right around my period. It went on for years but has diminish over time. It seemed to lessen when I started a consistent exercise program with aerobics, stretching and light weightlifting.
I'm not an expert by far, but I'd learned that our bodies, while pregnant, do produce a hormone that helps loosen our joints and ligaments, so that the baby can pass through the pelvic region. Maybe it's leftover hormones. :o/ There's just something about having babies that changes everything (inside and out!), but they're soooo worth it!
My kids are teens, now, and I no longer have the clicking and popping - just the aches and pains of being a bit older! :o)
Blessings to you.

Hi P., I think that is normal during and after pregnancy. Your joints get very loose during pregnancy and I think it takes a while to go back to normal. A chiropractor can help during that time. My Ob helped align me while I was pregnant and it helped SO much.

I had a lot of trouble with my joints, my hips in particular after my child was born. The only thing that helped and then seemed to fix the problem was doing yoga!
